You will support the development, integration, calibration, validation, and customer deployment of Multimatic's automotive electronic control systems. Working closely with software, controls, systems, hardware, and customer engineering teams, you will play a key role in ensuring our products meet customer expectations and vehicle-level performance targets.\nYou will be joining a highly capable team split between the UK and Canada and will have the opportunity to work directly with customers throughout the product development lifecycle from concept and prototype development through production launch and field support.\nWe need someone who communicates effectively, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and most importantly embraces our culture finding ways to say \"yes\", meeting commitments, being flexible, embracing challenges, and ensuring we deliver exceptional solutions to our customers.\nFacility Address:\nCambridge\nKeyAreas of Responsibility\nSupport customer integration of Multimatic electronic control systems, including suspension, active aero, and power closure products.\nWork closely with software, controls, systems, and hardware engineering teams to ensure successful vehicle-level integration.\nPerform vehicle commissioning, calibration, validation, and troubleshooting activities.\nAnalyse vehicle and system data to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.\nDevelop test plans and execute system verification and validation activities, including vehicle, bench, HIL, SIL, and functional testing where applicable.\nInvestigate and resolve software, controls, communication network, and system integration issues.\nSupport customer demonstrations, prototype evaluations, and application development activities.\nGenerate engineering reports documenting test results, root-cause analysis, and recommended improvements.\nRepresent Multimatic professionally during customer meetings and on-site support activities.\nIdentify opportunities to improve product performance, development processes, tools, and test methods.\nSupport production launch, field investigations, and customer service activities as required.\nIdeal Experience\nUniversity degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Control Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related discipline.\nStrong understanding of automotive vehicle architectures and ECU-based control systems.\nExperience with vehicle communication networks including CAN, LIN, CAN FD, and Ethernet.\nExperience using Vector tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, or equivalent.\nExperience analyzing and interpreting vehicle data logs.\nKnowledge of MATLAB, Simulink, and model-based development techniques.\nUnderstanding of embedded software and controls algorithm implementation.\nExperience troubleshooting software, controls, or electrical integration issues.\nStrong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple activities with minimal supervision.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nWillingness to travel and provide on-site customer support as required.\nDesirable Experience\nExperience with automotive suspension, vehicle dynamics, active aero, power closure, or mechatronic systems.\nKnowledge of AUTOSAR architecture and automotive software development processes.\nExperience with calibration and parameter tuning activities.\nUnderstanding of ISO 26262 functional safety processes.\nExperience with HIL, SIL, MIL, and vehicle testing methodologies.\nKnowledge of UDS diagnostics, flashing, and ECU configuration processes.\nFamiliarity with ASPICE or similar automotive development standards.\nExperience with scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB.\nWorking knowledge of embedded C software development.\nHands-on vehicle testing and instrumentation experience.\nPersonal Attributes\nCustomer-focused and proactive.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills.\nEffective communicator capable of working with customers and cross-functional teams.\nSelf-motivated with excellent organizational skills.\nFlexible and adaptable in a fast-paced engineering environment.\nCommitted to delivering high-quality solutions and meeting project commitments.\nTo learn more about Multimatic, check out our youtube channel - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psOjJIh3t90\nIf you are interested in this position, apply by sending us your cover letter and resume.\nWe thank all interested candidates in advance;
