And we need someone who will embrace our culture - finding ways to say “yes”, supporting and developing our engineers, meeting all commitments, being flexible, embracing challenges and ensuring we deliver excellent solutions to our customers.\nFacility Address:\nMilton Hall\nEly Road\nMilton\nCambridge\nKey Areas of Responsibility:\nArchitectural development of electronic systems, to automotive process and standards.\nCircuit design, analysis and documentation.\nDesign debugging, verification and validation testing.\nOwnership of designs, devising solutions and solving problems as they arise.\nAppropriate documentation of the design to allow long term support of the product\nIdentify areas for improvement including tools, techniques and processes.\nExperience - Highly Desirable:\nArchitectural development of electronic systems.\nCircuit design including:\nH-bridges, solenoid, motor and inductive load interfaces.\nHigh and low-side MOSFET switches.\nCurrent sensing and measurement.\nCommon op-amp circuits (amplifiers, filters, etc.), comparators.\nAutomotive microcontrollers with integrated peripheral functions.\n‘External-world’ analogue and digital interfaces.\nCommunications interfaces: SPI, I2C, CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.\nPower supplies: linear regulators and switched-mode.\nDesign commission and debug.\nPCB design, layout and routing using third-party layout resources.\nAnalogue circuit simulation for analysis and performance prediction.\nDocument creation including specifications, design descriptions, design & test reports.\nWorking in a high-quality environment using industry-standard processes both in cross-functional teams and stand-alone.\nExperience - Desirable:\nDesign for automotive environments.\nDesign of safety-related hardware and functionally safe hardware development.\nPCB design layout & routing using PCB tools.\nDesign for reliability; derating of components.\nReliability analysis, FMEA.\nTaking a design from architecture through to production.\nDesign for manufacture.\nDesign for test.\nDesign for qualification; EMC, environmental.\nProduct qualification; EMC and environmental testing.\nWriting simple hardware test software.\nDegree or higher qualification in electronics engineering or a closely related discipline.\nPrevious Engineering Tools & Lab Experience:\nSchematic capture - Altium preferably.\nPCB layout viewers, ODB++ & gerber viewers.\nSPICE circuit simulators.\nUse of common lab bench equipment;
