Overview:\nMultimatic C-Mech, a division of the Multimatic Mechanisms Group, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Quality Manager to provide strategic leadership for all quality-related activities within the division.\nThe Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS), leading customer and supplier quality performance, ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, CCC requirements, and customer-specific standards, while driving a culture of operational excellence throughout the division.\nThe successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong automotive manufacturing experience, capable of developing high-performing teams while driving quality excellence and leading a best-in-class QMS in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead, coach, mentor, and develop the Quality team to achieve company and department objectives and support professional growth.\nEstablish clear performance expectations and conduct performance evaluations.\nFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.\nPlan, direct, control, and evaluate all Quality Assurance activities and operations.\nManage internal audits, customer audits, and third-party audits.\nEnsure requirements of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, CNCA-C11-10, CCC certification requirements, and applicable customer-specific requirements are effectively established, implemented, and maintained.\nEnsure correct use of CCC certificate and ensure continuous validity of certificate status of products affixed with CCC mark.\nMaintain, and report on all key reporting metrics (e.g. scorecards, KPI, KMI, QMS, etc.), monitor performance, identify risks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement mitigation strategies.\nLead root-cause analysis and the approval / implementation of timely corrective and preventive actions.\nContribute to cross-functional teams on engineering documentation (e.g. FMEA, control plans, job instructions, special characteristics, etc.).\nFollow up on supplier, customer, and internal quality concerns for closure.\nDrive defect reduction initiatives focused on improving customer satisfaction and manufacturing performance.\nSupport new product launches and engineering changes.\nReview and approve customer Sample Submissions (PPAP) before submitting to the customer. \nManage supplier quality, incoming inspection, and supplier corrective actions.\nEnsure proper control, containment, disposition, and traceability of non-conforming material.\nUpdate the fast response board and attend Fast Response Meetings.\nParticipate in and support DMN system activities.\nAdopt, support, and encourage the development of continuous improvement ideas, KAIZEN principles, concepts and GEAR activities from staff to meet corporate goals.\nEnsure compliance with all company procedures and policies\nWork in compliance and conform to IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards.\nPerform other duties as required (i.e. special projects).\nBasic Requirements and Competencies:\nBachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering (or a related discipline).\nMinimum 3 years of experience as a Department Quality Manager or equivalent, within automotive manufacturing.\nDetailed knowledge of IATF16949, ISO14001, and other applicable automotive quality standards.\nMust have proven proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation, including GD&T as well as technical specifications.\nExperience working directly with major automotive OEMs is considered a strong asset.\nDemonstrated knowledge of MS Office programs (including Excel, Word, and Outlook).\nProven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.\nExcellent problem solving / judgement skills and high degree of attention to detail.\nStrong demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.\nWork Environment:\nThis role requires 100% onsite presence and includes a combination of time in office and on the manufacturing floor. Travel to suppliers, customers, and between Multimatic divisions is required as needed.\nThis job posting is for an existing vacancy.
