Support supplier DFM reviews, capacity analysis, supplier risk assessments, and PPAP follow-up and closure to ensure suppliers are capable of meeting program, quality, timing and production requirements.\nSupplier Development, AQP & Launch Support\nLead supplier qualification, development, and readiness for new and existing programs\nSupport supplier selection through readiness status and development input to sourcing\nDrive AQP activities to ensure supplier readiness for sourcing and launch\nAct as liaison between suppliers and cross-functional teams (purchasing, engineering, plant quality)\nCoordinate supplier readiness reviews, technical reviews, and program meetings\nTrack supplier deliverables, action plans, and timing commitments\nSupport PSO activities, PPAP submissions, and overall supplier launch execution\nSupplier Assessments, Audits & Risk Management\nConduct process audits and supplier assessments to evaluate manufacturing capability, controls, and risks\nDocument audit findings, gaps, and risk items with clear recommendations\nMaintain structured tracking of audit findings and supplier development actions\nDrive closure of corrective actions and verify effectiveness on-site\nPerform capacity evaluations, run-at-rate, and sourcing risk assessments to support program decisions\nSupplier Quality & Problem Resolution\nLead supplier containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation for major quality issues\nReview and validate problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.)\nMonitor supplier performance and escalate issues through appropriate channels\nReporting, Data Management & Continuous Improvement\nMaintain organized records of audits, supplier actions, and performance metrics\nPrepare dashboards, summaries, and reports for management and cross-functional teams\nDrive supplier performance improvements using KPI tracking, Lean methods, and continuous improvement (Kaizen)\nSupport development and improvement of internal procedures, process maps, and digital tools (SharePoint, SAP)\nIdentify gaps in current processes and propose improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness\nStandards, Compliance & General Responsibilities\nPromote and enforce compliance with the Multimatic Supplier Quality Manual within the supply base\nWork in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and applicable customer requirements\nMaintain effective communication with global suppliers in a multicultural environment\nAbility to travel occasionally, including international travel, based on supplier and program needs\nPerform other duties as assigned\nBasic Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field)\nMinimum of 6-10 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, supplier development, quality, or supply chain\nStrong knowledge of APQP (AQP), PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, and core quality tools\nExperience with supplier audits, process assessments, and manufacturing process evaluation\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation\nWorking knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 systems\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data tracking and reporting tools\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills\nEffective communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally and with global suppliers\nThis job posting is for an existing vacancy.
