This role is for you if you are a strong problem solver, motivated and hard-working student, and excited to experience what it’s like being an engineer at an early-stage startup.\nResponsibilities include:\nContribute to production-ready code for robotic platforms, helping to implement specific modules for hardware communication and system behaviors under the guidance of senior engineers.\nDesign, build and deploy algorithms for motion control, trajectory planning, or sensor data processing; and perform data analysis to evaluate algorithm performance.\nHelp build and maintain simulation environments for robot validation, writing unit and integration tests to improve the robustness of the codebase and support our CI/CD pipelines.\nCollaborate with mechanical and systems teams to help troubleshoot real-world issues on physical robots, assisting in data collection and bug reproduction during system-level testing.\nParticipate in code reviews, document system architectures, and work closely with senior mentors to learn and apply industry-standard clean architecture and testing patterns.\nQualifications\nCurrently working towards a Bachelor, Masters, or PhD degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or equivalent.\nSelf-starter comfortable working in a fast paced, technically challenging startup environment. \nStrong background in: linear algebra, Python, data science, and robotics principles\nStrong communication skills that clearly express ideas and design details in meetings, team presentations, white board brainstorming sessions and in various technical documentation. \nPrioritize organization and detail orientation, with ability to handle multiple project and task assignments simultaneously. \nPassionate, curious, and eager to learn.\nNice to Haves\nExperience with robotic systems and robotics principles, including kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, and control theory.\nExperience with cloud technologies, specifically AWS.\nIndustry experience with Python.\nTotal Rewards & Life at Multiply Labs\nCompetitive Compensation: $5,000-$7,000/month.\n\nReal Ownership: Own meaningful design projects on robots that go into production, not side tasks.\n\nMentorship: Work side by side with experienced mechanical, robotics, and software engineers.\n\nOffice Perks: An energetic SF office culture featuring catered team lunches, stocked kitchen, and frequent team events.\n\nGreat people, meaningful work, and a team that genuinely believes in what we’re building.\n\nNo Set Hours: Set your own schedule in alignment with your manager and team.
