You will act as a critical bridge, partnering with our internal developers to streamline workflows while ensuring our external customers experience a seamless, high-availability product. This role is for a passionate, hands-on engineer dedicated to building a robust software environment that has a direct impact on patient lives.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, implement, and maintain the infrastructure for reliable, secure, and scalable over-the-air (OTA) updates and configuration management for a fleet of IoT devices\n\nArchitect, deploy, and manage highly available, fault-tolerant, and performant cloud services in AWS to ensure 99.99%+ uptime for critical systems\n\nMaintain and improve automated integration test suites and CI/CD pipelines to ensure the reliability, speed, and ease of use of our software stack and build process\n\nImplement and enforce security best practices across the infrastructure, including least-privilege access controls, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and robust network segmentation\n\nImplement comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools that provide deep visibility into system health and performance\n\nMonitor cloud resource utilization continuously and implement strategies for cost efficiency without compromising reliability or performance\n\nMentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and champion software engineering best practices (clean architecture, testing patterns) to elevate the team\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline\n\n5+ years of professional experience in infrastructure or site reliability engineering, with a focus on cloud platforms, distributed systems, or complex automation\n\nHands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, IoT Core, DynamoDB) or similar cloud platform\n\nFamiliarity with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)\n\nExpertise in Python and a strong command of infrastructure-as-code principles (e.g., system design, networking, security, monitoring)\n\nAbility to design, build, and maintain highly reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines)\n\nDeep comfort working in Linux environments, including networking configuration, systemd services, and shell scripting\n\nExperience working with VPN technologies and foundational knowledge of networking principles\n\nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex customer and developer requirements into robust infrastructure logic\n\nComfortable working in a fast-paced, technically challenging startup environment; able to balance context switching between multiple projects and on-call responsibilities\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience managing open source projects\n\nPrior experience with SOC2 / ISO 27001 / GMP / CFR Part 11\n\nPrior experience at a hardware startup or robotics company\n\nFamiliarity with biomanufacturing or lab automation\n\nExperience working in regulated environments (e.g., GMP, FDA, ISO standards)\n\nPhysical & Working Conditions\nStandard work schedule with occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call support for critical issues or time-sensitive maintenance\nPerks & Benefits\nTotal Rewards & Life at Multiply Labs\nCompetitive Compensation: Salary range of $175,000 - $230,000 plus meaningful early-stage equity.
