MCPL over the years has grown adding 13 brands in various categories comprising of Noodle, Snacks, Milk, Cereal, Oil, Homecare and Personal Hygiene.\n\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: Production Planning and Inventory Control (PPIC) Trainee\n\nLocation: Lagos\n\nEmployment Type: Full-time\n\nScope of Responsibility\n\nResponsible for managing and monitoring raw and packaging material availability to support uninterrupted production, ensuring accurate inventory control and FIFO compliance.\nOversees SAP transactions including material reservations, process order creation, and completion (TECO). Coordinates closely with warehouse, logistics, and production teams to ensure efficient material flow and timely reporting. Supports stock verification activities, material analysis, and continuous operational efficiency.\n\nCore Responsibilities\n\nMaterial Management & Reporting:\n\nPrepare and share daily RM & PM status reports with FM and planning team\nPerform daily updates and monitoring of Raw Materials (RM) and Packaging Materials (PM)\nMaintain accurate DIR (Daily Inventory/Issue Reports)\n\nInventory Control:\n\nFollow up on GRN with warehouse team to ensure timely system updates\nMonitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations\nOversee RM & PM receipts, issuance, and ensure FIFO compliance\n\nSAP & Process Operations:\n\nEnsure timely TECO (technical completion) of process orders after production runs\nCreate material reservations in SAP and follow up on issuance\nCreate, release, and monitor process orders for production\n\nOperational Coordination:\n\nCoordinate with warehouse, logistics, and production teams for material flow\nTrack truck turnaround and ensure timely unloading/loading activities\n\nAdditional Responsibilities:\n\nFollow up with warehouse and logistics teams on truck arrival, turnaround time, and unloading status\nAssist in resolving material availability and operational issues to avoid production delays\nSupport documentation and ensure accuracy of reports and records\nMaintain effective communication and coordination between production, planning, and warehouse teams\nCarry out any other tasks or assignments as directed by the supervisor/management\n\nRequirements\n\nGood communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional coordination\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office tools for reporting and data analysis\nBasic understanding of production planning and warehouse operations\nHigh level of attention to detail and accuracy\nBasic knowledge of SAP (MM/PP modules or similar ERP systems)\nUnderstanding of inventory management principles
