Great Lakes Insurance SE operates from its headquarters in Munich, and via branch offices in UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Italy and Australia.\n\nGreat Lakes Insurance UK Limited (“GLLS ”), regulated by Prudential Regulation Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority, is a fully owned subsidiary of Great Lakes Insurance SE and acts as the preferred facilitator of agency insurance business in the UK in the post-Brexit world.\n\nAbout the role:\nThis is a full time role guiding and shaping the Delegated Authority Management Suite (DAMS) as a product manager. The DAMS is the core IT component of GL’s Delegated Authority business which is an important strategic pillar of GL’s business model overall. The role therefore provides high visibility and excellent development opportunities for talented candidates.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nWorking closely with SME’s, GL Data Team and IT you will:\nPerform the role of product manager within agile projects\nShape the platform by helping set the strategy and roadmap for DAMS alongside the Head of DAMS\nWork closely with the business units responsible for the data and processes the Data Team supports, to understand requirements and communicate these to the outsourced IT team\nBe the sign off of delivered development items from IT\nSupport other GSI Entities (group of speciality insurance entities within Munich Re) and departments with DAMS functionality rollouts including gathering requirements, ensuring successful development alongside IT, manage the implementation rollout and actively train new users across Great lakes and other entities.\nActively contribute to the improvement of GL data management processes and systems\nUndertake learning of IT offerings to identify and provide business units with expertise and advice on how best to utilise within their business processes\nBe a conduit between the Business and IT\nAssisting with onboardings of Agents to DAMS\n\nCompetencies:\nDrives results (we think big) - you consistently achieve results even under tough circumstances, with the organisation’s performance in the front of your mind. You also continue to operate effectively even when things are uncertain and the way forward is unclear. \nPersuades (we are clear and authentic) - you use clear and compelling arguments to gain the support, enthusiasm and commitment of others, whilst ensuring you take time to actively listen to the diversity of views and opinions.\nExperience You will have proven experience of retail and commercial insurance\nKey Skills & Experience:\nWrite clear user stories and acceptance criteria\nAssist in maintaining and prioritising the product backlog\nCoordinate with developers, testers and other cross functional teams\nRequirements analysis and engineering\nTesting coordination\nStrong communication, interpersonal, facilitation & presentation\nStructured thinker with business process experience\nTech savvy with good business understanding of underlying technology capabilities (e.g.: Web-Portal, Workflow-Management, ETL, SQL-Database)\n\nDesired Qualifications and Educational Background:\nPrevious experience working in an agile project methodology environment, e.g.: as a product manager, data/ business analyst, business architect and/ or project manager\nSpecific MGA knowledge and delegated authority experience would be highly desirable\nExperience in working with third parties and offshore development teams\nPerforming user acceptance testing\nRoadmap and strategy engineering\nSQL/ Power BI/ Informatica/ Databricks knowledge and familiarity with everyday AI tools (e.g.: MS Copilot)\n\nThought Leaders:\nYou are seen as an expert in your field and will be the ‘go to’ person for your area of specialism within Munich Re.
