The role bridges business and technical functions, providing expertise on TAI functionality, data architecture, enhancements, integrations, and operational processing.\nYour Role:\nTAI System Administration and Ownership\nAct as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the TAI Reinsurance Administration System.\nManage TAI interfaces and upstream data feeds to ensure timely and accurate processing of business transactions.\nConfigure, maintain, and optimize system parameters to support operational performance and business requirements.\nSupport in TAI enhancements, upgrades, testing activities, and implementation initiatives.\nMaintain documentation relating to system configuration, mapping, business rules, and operational processes.\nTroubleshoot system issues and collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve processing and data concerns.\nData Management and Quality Assurance\nManage the ingestion, validation, reconciliation, and maintenance of client and transactional data.\nEnsure completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity of premium, claims, billing, and in-force information.\nInvestigate data discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to identify corrective actions.\nSupport audit requirements through effective data controls, reconciliations, and documentation practices.\nDevelop and execute data quality measures, monitoring processes, and validation controls.\nOperational Support\nSupport monthly/quarterly production cycles and ensure operational processing deadlines are achieved.\nReconcile client cash flows and operational transactions across multiple systems.\nMonitor key operational performance indicators and escalate issues as appropriate.\nIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, controls, and service delivery.\nTechnical Development and Automation\nDevelop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries and automated processes.\nSupport ETL processes and data transformation requirements across operational systems.\nParticipate in system testing, change management, and release activities.\nEvaluate technical solutions and provide recommendations to improve data management and operational effectiveness.\nAdhere to established IT governance, security standards, and change management controls.\nStakeholder and Client Engagement\nServe as a key contact for clients regarding data submission requirements, validation issues, and discrepancy resolution.\nBuild strong relationships with Operations, Finance, Actuarial, Claims, Underwriting, IT, and external vendors.\nProvide subject matter expertise for strategic projects, initiatives, and business enhancements.\nSupport audits, operational reviews, and regulatory inquiries through data analysis and documentation.\nYour Profile:\nRequired Qualifications\nPost-secondary education\nMinimum 5+ years of insurance or reinsurance experience, including exposure to ceded and assumed business.\nAdvanced knowledge of the TAI Reinsurance Administration System, including processing workflows, data structures, system functionality, and integrations.\nStrong understanding of reinsurance operations, premium processing, claims administration, and financial reporting concepts.\nProven experience supporting or leading system enhancements, upgrades, implementations, or migration initiatives.\nAdvanced SQL proficiency and strong technical problem-solving abilities.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and automation techniques.\nExperience with ETL processes, data validation, and operational controls.\nDemonstrated ability to bridge business and technical requirements and translate complex concepts for different audiences.\nStrong stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with TAI version 3.4 or higher.\nPrevious participation in system implementation, migration, or modernization initiatives.\nExperience working with vendors and technology partners.\nKnowledge of audit, compliance, and operational risk management practices.\nExperience acting as a business subject matter expert on operational projects.\nAbout Munich Re\n\nTogether, we engage with everything we have and are, to help humankind act braver and better.\nAs the world’s leading reinsurance company with more than 40,000 employees in over 50 locations around the globe, Munich Re introduces a paradigm shift in the way you think about insurance.
