In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining assembly processes and technologies for automotive and electrification products. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production, working closely with cross-functional teams in industrialization, process engineering, quality, and R&D. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of electric mobility and automotive innovation by implementing state-of-the-art assembly solutions, automation, and Industry 4.0 concepts.\nYour Responsibilities\n1. Manufacturing Technology & Equipment\n\nSelect and integrate equipment (such as automation, robotics, and vision systems) into manufacturing processes.\n\nCollaborate with suppliers to ensure timely commissioning of new machinery.\n\nAddress process-related issues using Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and FMEA methodologies.\n\nTrain operators and technicians on new technologies and process improvements.\n\n2. Innovation & Digitalization\nDrive Industry 4.0 initiatives in assembly, including digital twins, IoT, and predictive maintenance.\n\nIdentify opportunities for AI implementation in manufacturing processes.\n\nUtilize SixSigma tools to understand the opportunities for process improvement in terms of cost and quality\n\n3. Cross-functional Collaboration\nWork closely with Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to ensure smooth ramp-up of new products and technological alignment in process implementation.\n\nParticipate in DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews to influence product designs for efficient assembly.\n\nYour Profile\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.\n\n3+ years of experience in assembly technology, manufacturing engineering, or process development within the automotive or electronics industry.\n\nStrong knowledge of assembly processes, including fastening, bonding, welding, and pressing.\n\nExperience with automation, robotics, PLCs, and vision systems in assembly.\n\nFamiliarity with FMEA, Six Sigma (certification ideal), Lean Manufacturing\n\nAnalytical and problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach.\n\nStrong communication and teamwork skills, working across departments and suppliers.\n\nAbility to manage projects independently and handle multiple priorities.\n\nFluent in English and German (preferred or willingness to learn).\n\nFlexibility to travel for onsite support\n\nUnderstanding of electrification and automation trends\n\nOur Offer & Benefits\nThe chance to be part of a highly innovative, agile, and unique team with prestigious customers in the automotive and battery storage sector.
