Serves as a liaison between CBO and sites/departments. Assists in the orientation and training of new employees within the coding and charge capture area.\nCreate and maintain internal education program for all CBO coding staff. \nLead Coder Roundtable meetings, including creating agenda, meeting content and presenting. \nLead projects regarding changes and updates to all coding and documentation for professional services. \nServes as an expert resource for physicians, office management staff and central billing staff. Including in person or virtual education and researching and responding to coding and compliance questions, coordinates accurate assignment of procedure codes and modifiers. \nResponsible for reviewing office based electronic charges and encounter forms for completion and accuracy, including accuracy of ICD9/10CM, CPT and HCPCS modifier assignment. Codes and enters charges at a 95% accuracy rate. \nReviews and interprets physician documentation of surgical procedures to accurately assign and enter billing codes. Identifies all applicable diagnosis procedures and codes. Codes and enters charges at a 95% accuracy rate. \nWorks with central billing team to ensure charges are coded and entered within charge lag time frame. \nIdentifies educational needs and/or compliance issues and reports them to the Manager of Central Billing Office. \nResponsible for resolving coding discrepancies related to coding and revenue capture. \nResponsible for obtaining and maintaining education appropriate to the position. \n What’s Required\nAssociate’s degree in Health Record Technology or related healthcare field and five years of professional coding experience and must obtain the credentials of a Certified Professional coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-based (CCS-P), Certified Cardiology Coder (CCC), Certified Interventional Radiology Cardiovascular Coder (CIRCC), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA (CPC) OR seven years of professional coding experience and has obtained the credentials of a certified professional coder (CPC).\n\nDemonstrated previous experience with healthcare-related educational activities required.\n\nMust be able to problem-solve and communicate in a professional manner with physicians, staff and other health care professionals.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n7 years of cardiology coding experience\nExperience creating and presenting information to Healthcare Providers and Coders\nAuditing experience \n Are you Munson Material?
