We encourage you to apply for the positions for which you meet the qualifications.\nJob Summary\nMurphy is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sr Supply Chain Analyst with expertise in operations procurement to join our team. This role will report to the SCM Manager and will be responsible for executing the Exploration and Subsurface Procurement Plan, contributing to cost savings through negotiation strategies and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the acquisition of materials, equipment, and services supporting day-to-day Exploration, Subsurface, Asset Integrity and HSE activities. You will work closely with field personnel and management across various business units, Supply Chain, and operations-based suppliers to deliver value and achieve organizational goals.\nThis role will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work two (2) days a week remote.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for sourcing major materials, equipment and services for Exploration, Subsurface, Asset Integrity and HSE.\nExecute daily sourcing activities such as developing Purchase Requisitions, issuing Purchase Orders and ongoing Purchase Order expediting\nAssist in Request for Proposals/Quotations; conduct bid analysis, facilitate technical and commercial clarifications, and make award recommendations \nAssist in delivering the current Exploration and Subsurface Procurement Plan by executing sourcing and contracting efforts\nManage the entire contract lifecycle, from negotiation and execution to ongoing monitoring and review\nTrack contractual obligations and provide summaries to business owners for accountability\nWork with stakeholders to quantify usage and forecast future requirements\nLead negotiations with suppliers and contractors, developing and executing cost reduction and avoidance strategies\nDevelop and manage supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with business objectives\nIdentify impactful contractual relationships and track realized savings and potential opportunities\nCollaborate with Contracts / Legal to ensure all contracts comply with internal and external regulations\nIdentify and assess emerging opportunities within the supply chain to maximize value\nProactively engage with key stakeholders to identify sourcing and contract value opportunities\nAssess customer needs, provides procurement expertise to customers in the acquisition process\nAssist in negotiations with Supplier / Contractors including developing and executing cost reduction and cost avoidance strategies and initiatives\nMonitor, assess and adjust sourcing strategies based on supplier and market intelligence \nEnsure current and continued compliance with all regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures both internally and externally to the Institution\nIndependently plans actions to ensure customer requirements are achieved\nQualifications/Requirements\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nMinimum of 10 years’ experience in operations procurement, or contracting support\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nProficient in MS Office Suite and procurement software\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration or other technical degree\nStrong understanding of contract negotiation principles and best practices\nStrong understanding of Drilling and Completions equipment and services\nProven ability to develop and execute cost-saving strategies\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills\nStrong SAP experience preferred\nStrong Ariba experience preferred \nIcertis experience preferred\nThe individual is required to follow all applicable safety precautions. Work is performed almost entirely in a controlled (i.e., inside) environment and does not typically subject the incumbent to any hazardous/extreme elements; some positions may require regularly moving or transporting items weighing up to 25 lbs. around the office for various needs.
