This is a unique opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to work within the expeditious Geospatial industry. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Structural Inspection Department manager and will be based in Ireland.\nYou will be mentored by a Chartered Engineer with over 20 years of experience in bridge and structure inspection/evaluation and our Operations Manager who is experienced in all the inspection methods and equipment that we provide. The right candidate will aspire to be a Chartered Engineerto lead structural inspections and assessments as well as manage projects.\nWhat You Will Do\nPerforming bridge/structural inspections using a variety of technologies and access methods.\nAssisting Project Manager in coordinating inspection programmes and subcontractors.\nUndertaking waterway inspections and surveys using various boats & equipment.\nOpportunities for Rope Access bridge inspection (abseiling).\nPerform underwater inspections using Remote Operated Vehicles (ROV).\nUtilise Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and equipment.\nHandling, processing and interpreting geospatial/inspection data.\nPreparing technical structural inspection reports.\nWhat You Will Bring\nDegree in Civil/Structural Engineering - BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering or 3+ years equivalent experience\nFundamental knowledge of the principles and practices of bridge types and loadings.\nAbility to perform detailed field and office inspection work.\nGood writing skills and proficiency in the English language.\nThe right to work in Ireland.\nFlexibility to travel nationwide as required by our clients.\nPossess a full clean driving license.\nKey Attributes\nPractically minded: good problem-solving and decision-making skills.\nStrong report writing, communication and leadership skills.\nAbility to communicate technical information effectively.\nAbility to work at heights and within confined spaces (training will be provided).\nPossess organisational and time management skills.\nAnalytical and critical thinking.\nHave excellent communication and presentation skills.\nEnjoy learning new software applications for the various technological equipment.\nPossess the ability to work with autonomy or as part of a team.\nBe a problem solver with a positive attitude.\nSet high standards for themselves and their services.\nProven commercial awareness along with strong attention to detail\nBenefits You Will Love\nAt Murphy Geospatial - A Woolpert Company, you’ll join a collaborative and innovative team where your expertise makes a real impact.
