You'll work alongside talented colleagues while establishing lifelong friendships and making a difference in our company and the specialty contracting community.\nPosition Summary\nThe Project Manager (PM) within our Advanced Technologies division is primarily responsible for supervising and coordinating the project to complete the work safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Our Project Managers provide leadership to the project team and directs the success of the overall project from initial estimating through completion while ensuring adherence to company procedures. This position focuses on various mechanical piping projects with varying scopes of work, including: plumbing, HVAC, and process piping.\nLocation: Chandler, AZ with anticipated travel to designated project sites in and around the greater Phoenix metropolitan area.\nKey Responsibilities\nMeet with Executive Management, Estimating, Field Operations and key stakeholders to define the scope of work and create a project execution plan, ensuring the safety of all staff.\nEnsure safety program is followed and safety culture is maximized, observing teams for safety deficiencies and suggest safety priorities.\nSet up pre-planning meetings and establish project budget.\nSet up a workable schedule for job cost control, labor, material and equipment.\nEstablish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards.\nReview project with the Executive Management Team incrementally throughout the project from inception to completion.\nMeet weekly with field staff.\nWork with Purchasing on all equipment and material buyouts.\nManage all financial aspects of the contract; prepare a cost-to-complete report quarterly.\nPrepare monthly billings for submission to General Contractor or Owner.\nPrepare and review monthly subcontractor billing.\nRepresent Murray Company in project meetings.\nAssist in labor negotiations/strategy.\nDocument pending problems and advise management.\nIn absence of Project Engineer, Project Manager will assume all Project Engineer responsibilities.\nAssume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate management.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or another relevant focus is desired or at a minimum strong experience and understanding of Industrial construction/engineering design concepts.\nMinimum 5+ years of cradle-to-grave project management experience leading diverse commercial/industrial plumbing scopes. Experience with managing projects in high-tech sectors such as semiconductor and biopharma strongly preferred.\nPrior project management experience in running process piping and/or full mechanical scopes on projects preferred.\nMust be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance through understanding of corporate practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.\nTechnical experience with Bluebeam, MS Project, Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / Procore, or equivalent construction software programs.\nPhysical Requirements\nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk.\nMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.\nMust have sufficient visual acuity to read printed and digital documents.\nMust be able to climb ladders, access and egress trenches and/or attic spaces and/or confined spaces.\nRequires hearing ability to communicate in noisy environments.\nMust be able to recognize alarms, signals, and verbal instructions.\nMust be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.\nAbility to grasp, handle, and manipulate small objects.\n\nTotal Rewards\nMurray Company offers a generous total rewards package to include an Employee Stock Ownership (ESOP) contribution annually on top of a discretionary cash bonus program.
