Cloud@Customer\n\nManage Single Instance, RAC, CDB/PDB architectures in cloud environments.\nPerform database lifecycle management: provisioning, scaling, cloning, patching, and decommissioning.\nHybrid & Migration Responsibilities\nSupport hybrid environments (on?prem + OCI).\nPlan and execute database migrations to the cloud using: RMAN\nData Pump\nOCI Database Migration Service\nGoldengate (if applicable)\n\nValidate performance and functionality post?migration.\nSupport cross?region and cross?tenancy architectures.\nHigh Availability, DR & Resilience\nDesign and manage: OCI Data Guard\nAutomated backups and recovery\nCross?region disaster recovery\n\nPerform recovery testing and DR drills.\nEnsure compliance with RTO/RPO objectives.\nManage rolling upgrades and patching with minimal downtime.\nPerformance & Cost Optimization\nMonitor and tune databases using: OCI Console\nAWR / ADDM / ASH\nOCI Monitoring & Alarms\n\nOptimize: Storage (block/object)\nCompute shapes\nLicensing and resource utilization\n\nImplement cost?aware architectures and usage tracking (FinOps).\nSecurity, Compliance & Governance\nImplement cloud security best practices: IAM policies\nNetwork security (VCNs, NSGs, Security Lists)\nEncryption (TDE, OCI Vault)\n\nManage database access controls, auditing, and separation of duties.\nSupport compliance requirements (ISO, SOX, GDPR, etc.).\nPerform vulnerability remediation and security hardening.\nAutomation & DevOps Enablement\nAutomate database operations using: Shell scripting\nSQL / PL/SQL\nOCI CLI & SDK\nTerraform / Ansible\n\nIntegrate database changes into CI/CD pipelines.\nSupport Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for database provisioning.\nEnable self?service patterns for development teams.\nMonitoring, Incident & Operations Management\nSet up proactive monitoring, alerts, and dashboards.\nTroubleshoot cloud?specific issues (latency, connectivity, scaling).\nParticipate in 24x7 on?call rotations for production support.\nPerform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive controls.\nDocumentation & Cross?Team Collaboration\nMaintain cloud architecture diagrams and
