The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, proving out and operating CNC milling machines to manufacture high-precision components in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications and quality requirements. The role will involve working with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining, with previous CNC programming experience being a significant advantage.\nKey\nResponsibilities\nSet up and operate CNC milling machines, including 3-, 4-, and 5-axis equipment.\nPrepare tooling, work-holding, offsets and machine settings.\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T requirements.\nProgram, edit and prove out CNC programs where required.\nManufacture precision components to the required quality standards.\nCarry out first-off and in-process dimensional inspections using appropriate measuring equipment.\nMake authorised program and offset adjustments where required.\nMaintain accurate setup sheets, tooling lists and production documentation.\nIdentify and report machine, tooling or quality issues.\nMaintain CNC machines and the working area in a clean, safe and organised condition.\nWork closely with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams.\nFollow all company health and safety and quality procedures.\nRequirements\nPrevious experience as a CNC Setter / Operator in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.\nExperience with CNC milling and 4- or 5-axis machining.\nAbility to read and understand engineering drawings.\nExperience with dimensional inspection and precision measuring equipment.\nGood understanding of CNC tooling, offsets and machine setup.\nCNC programming experience is a significant advantage.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
