Ability to use and maintain painting and surface preparation equipment safely and effectively. Good knowledge of PPE, respiratory protection and workplace health and safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications and work instructions.\nKey\nResponsibilities: Surface Preparation: Clean steel surfaces by operating shot blasting machine, grinding, sanding, or scraping to remove rust, mill scale, dirt, and oil. Coating Application: Apply primers, anti-corrosive layers, and protective finish coats using airless sprayers, conventional spray equipment, rollers, and brushes. Mixing Materials: Measure and mix multi-part paints, thinners, and coatings according to strict manufacturer and project specifications. Quality Control: Check coating thickness using specialized gauges and inspect surfaces for runs, drips, or dry spots to ensure uniform coverage. Equipment Maintenance: Clean, flush, and perform routine maintenance on spray guns, hoses, pots, and rigging tools after use.
