third-party\ninterfaces.\nLeadership, organisation and accountability\nLead engineering management across the assigned framework and set and lead a clear engineering strategy.\nDefine the engineering organisation, single points of accountability and a published Responsibility Assignment Matrix.\nProduce affordable solutions to meet client requirements.\nPromote innovative solutions within delivery ensuring appropriate technical and commercial review and sign off as required.\nLiaise with other engineering leads across the business and JV partner and participate, as required, in wider business activities outside of the framework.\nResource planning and delivery resilience\nCoordinate resource demand with the Divisional Engineering Manager, deployment, workload visibility and delivery priorities with project and discipline leads.\nMaintain a 12-month resource plan covering ramp-up curves, key personnel, succession, contingency, supply chain requirements and regional capacity.\nMonthly engineering financial reporting in line with framework and wider business requirements.\nGovernance, risk and performance\nMonitor engineering cost, programme, quality, risk and governance performance, escalating issues early and linking cost, carbon and programme reporting.\nEstablish decision-making routes, delegated authority, technical-risk ownership and alignment with Anglian Water governance.\nClient integration and stakeholder management\nRepresent Engineering at Framework Leadership Meetings and maintain effective Anglian Water, operational and third-party interfaces.\nEnsure joint design reviews, risk workshops, planning sessions and asset-data requirements are agreed and managed through connected platforms.\nTechnical excellence and continuous improvement\nEnsure technical excellence, quality control and compliance across all projects through the governed business management system.\nManage lessons learned, framework-wide improvements, innovation pipeline, benefits tracking and agreed derogations.\nYou will be able to operate confidently with framework leaders,\nsenior client representatives and industry stakeholders, acting as the\nengineering account lead and trusted adviser on strategic technical issues.\nLead across teams, disciplines and locations; negotiate at senior level; mentor\nlocal leaders; and strengthen the organisation’s regional reputation and\ninfluence.\nOffice based - Travelling within the UK occasionally\nand occasional home working.\nQualifications\nEssential\nWidely recognised engineering professional with substantial leadership, client, commercial and multi-team delivery experience.\nExperience managing geographically dispersed engineering teams across multidisciplinary water and wastewater design-and-build schemes.\nDelivery-driven leader able to set targets, manage budgets and motivate design teams to achieve time, cost and quality objectives.\nStrong planning, coordination, stakeholder-management and project-control capability.\nExpert knowledge gained as an Engineering Manager, Design Manager or technically focused Operational Manager on design-and-build projects.\nAble to provide calm direction, improve consistency and support teams through delivery pressure.\nDesirable\nChartered status, or equivalent professional
