Implements appropriate system modeling, develops tools and procedures to perform system studies, analyzes simulated or actual operating results, develop solutions to current or future system issues, and appropriately reports findings and recommendations.\nAnalyzes the results of simulated power system studies and may compare to actual operating data to ensure compliance with applicable standards.\nPerforms powerflow studies as required to analyze the feasibility of proposed generation interconnections.\nReviews interconnection applications to ensure compliance with company Planning Guides, Protocols, and technical requirements prior to approval\nIdentifies process improvements for interconnection study workflows, data management, and stakeholder communication.\nCommunicates requirements and results to all internal and external stakeholders in the interconnection process.\nTracks project milestones from study request through commercial operation, maintaining alignment with interconnection queue procedures\nRequirements\nEducation Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or a combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with knowledge equivalent to a major in such fields.\n\nRequired Experience:\nFor entry level - Less than one year experience (in excess of degree requirements stated above) of progressively responsible experience in electric utility industry.\nFor level 2 - 2 years of progressively responsible experience in electric utility industry.\n\nPreferred Work Experience:\nSome experience within the electric utility industry.\nExperience running power system load flow studies in PSSE.\nExperience running transfer analysis systems studies.\nAbility to clearly communicate requirements and other technical information.\nAbility to write technical reports of in-depth analysis completed.\nExperience with Python, VBA, or another programming language.\nExperience creating queries in Access, Oracle, or SQL.\nExperience using TARA\nBenefits\nThe base pay range for this role is $50 -
