In addition, the role is responsible for the preparation of permit applications, assembly of work packets and all other prerequisites required for the delivery of all capital construction, field maintenance work and customer-initiated gas growth work. This position is also responsible for assisting with overall oversite and accurate tracking and fulfilling requests to ensure sufficient volume of shovel-ready work exists to meet workplan and regulatory requirements. This role works closely with Field Operations management personnel.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nPrepare road opening permit applications in accordance with the requirements of local permitting agency\nResponsible for the accuracy and data quality of information entered in work management systems and trackers, which is crucial for tracking and managing regulatory compliance dates and work plan progress.\nMonitors accurate permit application status within work management systems and trackers and adheres to departmental cycle times for the purpose of timely permitting.\nFacilitates daily discussions with operational supervisors and contractor foreman to ensure work progression and full utilization of crews.\nCoordinate and balance internal resources to optimize short and long-term resource needs and achieve the annual workplan objectives\nDevelop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, share best practices, drive consistency, and ensure timely delivery of projects.\nEngage directly with municipal officials involved in the permitting process to secure approvals necessary to progress work.\nChallenge existing ways of working and continuously seek better ways of performing work to drive greater efficiencies.\nServe as back-up to Resource and Work Coordination Supervisor regarding all permit related matters.\nSupports training and development of bargaining unit personnel performing permit process related work.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of related work experience\nAssociates degree, or 5+ years of related work experience\n2+ years of Excel experience\nStrong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment\nProficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Applications\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nAbility to work flexible schedules, extended hours, and travel to multiple work locations within the state as needed\n\nPreferred Experience:\nPrevious utility experience or knowledge of natural gas system operations\nPrevious experience with work planning and scheduling process\nPrevious experience with process management and
