With new products and derivatives launched every year, you’ll work in an environment that thrives on \"what's next.\" Our clients are in major industrial sectors including data centers, aerospace & defense, medical, microwave & RF, and 5G wireless.\nThe Service Engineer I provides remote and on-site technical support to our customers across the US, Canada, and Mexico, utilizing a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service. This role focuses on repairs, process issues, and equipment optimization, serving as a trusted technical advisor. Responsibilities include conducting remote troubleshooting and diagnosis, as well as providing in-person support as needed at customer sites, including during the equipment installation process.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform equipment repairs, installations, and maintenance at customer facilities\n\nInstall and implement hardware and software upgrades to support equipment performance and functionality\n\nProvide timely technical support to customers by phone and email, addressing service-related questions and concerns\n\nDiagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and communicate findings and performance feedback to the factory\n\nDeliver technical training to customers at their facilities, ensuring effective operation and use of equipment\n\nProvide support to Service Engineer II on technical projects, service activities, and customer needs as assigned\n\nCollaborate with the Applications and Testing Group to support equipment testing, troubleshooting, and related technical initiatives\n\nPartner with Sales personnel by providing technical information, responding to customer inquiries, and participating in customer visits as needed\n\nCollaborate with Marketing by gathering and communicating customer feedback, product needs, and service-related trends\n\nRepresent and promote company products and services professionally and in accordance with established training and guidelines\n\nTravel throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico to support customer installations, service needs, and business activities\n\nPerform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives\n\nExperience and Qualifications\nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline\n\n3-5 years of professional experience in the design, repair, maintenance, or field service of semiconductor back-end equipment strongly preferred\n\nDemonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with semiconductor back-end manufacturing processes and equipment\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues\n\nExperience with root cause analysis and the development and implementation of effective corrective actions is preferred\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams\n\nAbility and willingness to travel frequently throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico to support customer and business requirements\n\nWhy Join Us?\nAt Mycronic, we love what we do, but most importantly who we do it with.
