As our business and international presence grow, so does the need to turn technical developments, customer insights and market trends into clear and relevant communication.\nThat is why we are looking for an External Communications Specialist who can get close to our customers and organisation, understand what matters to different audiences and turn those insights into communication that makes an impact.\nThe position is based on-site in Nørresundby, Denmark, and reports to the Director of Global Marketing & Communications.\nWhat you will do\nYou will help turn what is happening across MyDefence, our markets and our customer landscape into relevant external communication. Working closely with colleagues across product, engineering, commercial teams and international markets, you will find the stories and insights that matter and develop them into strong content, messaging and PR opportunities.\nUnderstand audiences and shape the message\nBuild a strong understanding of our key customer segments, end users and the challenges they face.\nTranslate technical capabilities into clear customer value and adapt messaging to different audiences and markets.\nUse customer insights, market developments and current affairs to identify relevant topics, perspectives and communication opportunities.\nCreate content and find the story\nWrite thought leadership articles, opinion pieces, campaign copy, spokesperson messaging and other corporate content.\nFind strong stories and insights across our product, engineering, commercial and international teams.\nTurn internal developments, customer insights and market trends into compelling stories and external communication.\nDrive PR opportunities across markets\nWork closely with our PR agencies across markets and provide them with the stories, facts, angles, spokespersons and context they need to deliver strong results.\nIdentify opportunities for media commentary, thought leadership and proactive outreach when relevant topics enter the news agenda.\nCoordinate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to move opportunities from idea to execution.\nWho we are looking for\nWe expect that you bring 5 to 8 years of experience in external communications, copywriting, journalism, agency work or a related field, and you know how to turn complex information into content that is clear, relevant and engaging. What matters is your ability to understand your audience, identify what matters to them and turn those insights into effective communication.\nWe imagine that you bring:\nExcellent writing skills in English and Danish, with professional fluency in both languages.\nThe ability to translate complex or technical subjects into clear and relevant messages.\nStrong editorial judgement and an eye for stories, angles and timely opportunities.\nExperience developing content for different audiences, channels or markets.\nConfidence working with a range of stakeholders, from technical specialists and commercial teams to leaders and external agencies.\nExperience from B2B, B2G, technology, defence or another international environment would be an advantage, but it is not a requirement.\nWho you are\nYou are curious about customers, technology and what is happening in the world around you.
