Then we have the right opportunity for you!\n Our partner, a growing Swiss FinTech company operating a digital trading platform for institutional financial markets, is looking for a Rust Engineer to join its engineering team in Zurich.\n Rust Engineer - FinTech\n About the role\n As a Rust Engineer, you will develop and maintain the core services of a trading platform, focusing on market connectivity, real-time data processing and order routing. You will build reliable, concurrent applications and work closely with the infrastructure team to ensure stable and efficient production operations.\n Work tasks\n Rust Development: Develop and maintain production services in Rust for market data processing, exchange connectivity and order routing.\n Backend Architecture: Design concurrent, event-driven systems that handle message ordering, retries, reconnections and failure recovery.\n System Integration: Integrate external trading interfaces and APIs, ensuring reliable data exchange and connection management.\n Performance Optimisation: Analyse and improve application performance, latency, throughput and resource utilisation.\n Testing & Reliability: Develop automated tests, monitor application behaviour and investigate production issues.\n Technical Collaboration: Work with DevOps and infrastructure engineers on deployments, incident resolution and production support.\n Must-Haves\n Experience: At least 3 years of experience in backend development, systems engineering or a similar software engineering role.\n Rust: Hands-on experience developing applications in Rust, including async programming, concurrency and error handling.\n Backend & Networking: Good understanding of Linux, networking and distributed systems.\n Problem-Solving: Experience debugging applications, analysing performance and writing reliable, maintainable code.\n Working Style: Independent, responsible and structured, with an emphasis on testing, documentation and production stability.\n Communication: Strong English communication skills.
