You’ll join our Global Speciality business as a key member of the Cyber /Tech PI team, supporting the delivery of our underwriting plan and building your expertise in a fast-moving and innovative class\nWhat will you be doing?\nSupporting the delivery of the Cyber/Tech PI underwriting plan in Milan, contributing to sound risk selection, pricing discipline and portfolio performance\nUnderwriting a mix of mid-market and, with support, more complex Cyber/Tech PI risks in line with our appetite, guidelines and pricing frameworks, with a clear commitment to risk quality, governance and pro-active pipeline management / business development\nAssisting senior underwriters with larger or more complex accounts, including data gathering, analysis, preparation of quotes and documentation\nUsing available tools, data and portfolio insights to inform underwriting decisions and help identify trends and opportunities\nBuilding and maintaining strong working relationships with brokers and customers, acting as a reliable and responsive point of contact for day-to-day Cyber/Tech PI enquiries\nCollaborating with colleagues across the team and wider functions (claims, actuarial, portfolio management and operations) to support effective case handling and portfolio management\nContributing to continuous improvement initiatives, including process enhancement, use of new tools and ways of working, and sharing lessons learned\nTaking ownership of your development plan, actively building your technical knowledge, market understanding and underwriting skills\nTechnical expertise\nExperience as a Cyber/Tech PI Underwriter, Cyber Broker or in a related line (e.g. Financial Lines / Professional Indemnity) with an interest in specialising in Cyber\nA good understanding of Cyber/Tech PI risks, exposures, controls and coverages, or a strong appetite and capability to build this quickly\nDeveloping technical underwriting skills, with a commitment to risk quality, underwriting discipline and robust governance\nBreadth of business experience\nDemonstrable commercial awareness and an interest in how underwriting decisions impact portfolio performance and profitability\nAbility to work with financial information and data to support underwriting decisions and reporting\nDrive to deliver results, take responsibility for your portfolio and contribute to team targets\nLeadership capabilities (at an individual contributor level)\nA positive, trading mindset with the confidence to engage in broker discussions, supported by senior colleagues where needed\nWillingness to take initiative, own tasks and follow through to completion\nCollaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and support peers\nMarket orientation & agile stakeholder management\nClear customer and broker focus, with strong relationship-building skills and a professional, service-oriented approach\nEffective communication skills-numerical, verbal and written-with the ability to explain Cyber/Tech PI underwriting concepts clearly and simply\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders in a fast-moving environment, escalating appropriately and “managing up” by keeping senior underwriters informed\nA commitment to continuous learning, knowledge sharing and adopting best practice across the team\nFluency in both and (written and spoken) is essential for this role, as you will interact with local brokers/clients as well as international stakeholders\nMilan, Italy (with hybrid working options)\nSiamo uno dei principali gruppi assicurativi al mondo e uno dei pochi che opera a livello globale.
