This role will ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of our financial statements while building the processes, controls, and systems needed to support continued growth.\nYou will be a hands-on leader who can move comfortably between technical accounting, operational execution, team development, and cross-functional partnership. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building structure, and is equally willing to lead and roll up their sleeves.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead Month-End Close and Technical Accounting\nOwn and lead the full month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process across AP, AR, revenue, inventory, R&D, fixed assets, accruals, and other key areas\nPrepare, review, and approve complex journal entries and account reconciliations\nEnsure all balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled with appropriate supporting documentation\nMaintain and improve close timelines while driving accuracy and efficiency\nPrepare technical accounting analyses and memos for complex transactions\nOwn Financial Reporting and Analysis\nPrepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows\nEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies\nPerform detailed variance analysis against budget and forecast, identifying key business drivers\nDeliver executive-ready monthly and quarterly reporting packages\nPartner closely with FP&A to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning\nStrengthen Internal Controls, SOX, and Compliance\nDesign, document, implement, and test SOX-aligned internal controls\nEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP, federal and state tax requirements, and internal policies\nLead coordination of external audits and support regulatory examinations\nProactively identify and mitigate financial statement risk through strong controls and documentation\nOptimize Processes and Systems\nOptimize ERP workflows, with QuickBooks and Netsuite strongly preferred, to enhance efficiency and shorten close cycles\nLead system enhancements, new module implementations, and finance-related integrations\nImprove reconciliation processes, reporting automation, and financial visibility\nImplement workflow automation tools to increase productivity and reduce manual processes\nServe as the finance lead for ERP upgrades, new module implementations, and system integrations\nLead and Develop the Accounting Team\nSupervise, mentor, and develop two to three accounting professionals, including staff accountants and AP/AR specialists\nEstablish performance goals and provide ongoing coaching and technical guidance\nFoster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence\nProvide training on technical accounting topics and evolving GAAP standards\nProvide Strategic and Ad Hoc Support\nSupport investment due diligence, M&A activities, and special projects\nAssist with board and investor reporting as needed\nPerform other accounting- and finance-related responsibilities as assigned\nYour Qualifications\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field\nExperience: 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years of people management experience\nClose Ownership: Demonstrated ownership of full-cycle month-end close and financial statement preparation in a U.S. GAAP environment\nTechnical Accounting: Strong technical accounting knowledge under U.S. GAAP\nSaaS Experience: Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based revenue environment is strongly preferred\nSystems and Tools: Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling; proficiency in Google Sheets; and hands-on ERP experience, with QuickBooks strongly preferred\nAutomation: Experience with workflow automation and accounting systems\nAnalytical Mindset: Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy\nCommunication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership teams\nPreferred Qualifications\nActive CPA license, or actively pursuing a CPA license, is strongly preferred\nExperience with multi-entity or international consolidations\nKnowledge of transfer pricing and intercompany eliminations\nExperience supporting private equity-backed or venture-backed companies\nWhy This Role Matters\nIn a hyper-growth SaaS company, clean financials aren’t optional-they’re foundational.
