You'll own features end to end, from the React interfaces our care teams use every day to the backend services and integrations behind them, and help design and architect new capabilities.\nAbove all, our engineers understand our business and operational needs, solve problems creatively, and treat technology as a tool for delivering extraordinary care, not the end goal.\nWhat You'll Do\nDevelopment Excellence:\nDesign and ship secure, reliable features across the stack, from APIs to event-driven services on AWS\n\nCreate fast, accessible React interfaces for clinicians, field responders, and care coordinators\n\nBack your work with comprehensive unit and integration tests\n\nReview code and give technical guidance on standards, design, and best practices\n\nWrite architecture decision records (ADRs) and lead multi-phase initiatives from design to rollout\n\nBuild LLM-powered features and work fluently with AI-assisted development tools\n\nIntegration Expertise:\nBuild and own integrations with health systems and partners, including HL7v2/ADT feeds, FHIR, CCDA, and interoperability platforms.\n\nData Stewardship:\nEvolve our data models and the pipelines that move clinical and operational data between systems.\n\nCollaboration:\nWork with Product Management to scope work and co-write technical requirements.\n\nPartner with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship features.\n\nBring engineering input early to user and use-case discussions.\n\nSystem Reliability:\nTroubleshoot issues and find areas to improve.\n\nShare on-call duties to keep our platforms reliable.\n\nWhat You Bring\nClear communication with stakeholders from clinicians and product managers to senior leadership\n\nSteady, incremental improvement to the platform week over week\n\nFlexibility and creativity in solving technical challenges\n\nExperience in a startup or similar fast-paced environment\n\nTrack record of owning and supporting production systems\n\nSkills & Experience\nRequirements:\nSoftware development experience in healthcare or another regulated industry (e.g., finance, security)\n\nExperience handling PHI under HIPAA, including least-privilege access and audit trails\n\n7+ years of professional software engineering, with strong production experience in:\nNode.js\n\nTypeScript\n\nReact / React Router / Remix\n\nPostgreSQL and ORMs\n\nAPI Development\n\nAWS, including serverless (Lambda, SQS/SNS) and infrastructure as code (CDK)\n\nPreferred:\nHealthcare interoperability (HL7, FHIR, Redox or similar)\n\nWorking with ETL/ELT pipelines\n\nPython\n\nSOC2 Standards\n\nAccessibility (WCAG) and component design systems\n\nSpecial Considerations\nWe are a remote-first company with occasional travel for on-sites.\n\nThis role
