Our mission is to promote growth, independence, and a high quality of life for the individuals we serve.\nJob Summary:\nWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intensive Program Education Support Professional to join our education team. This role provides classroom, behavioral, and academic support to students requiring Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions within a highly structured and therapeutic learning environment.\nThe Intensive Program Education Support Professional works under the direction of a Certified Special Education Teacher and Education Coordinator to promote student engagement, safety, and progress toward individualized goals. This position is ideal for someone passionate about special education, behavioral support, and making a meaningful impact in students’ daily lives.\nKey Responsibilities:\nClassroom & Student Support\nProvide instructional, behavioral, and daily living support based on classroom and student needs\nAssist with small group and individualized instruction to support student learning goals\nSupport students during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal routines\nPromote active engagement and participation in classroom activities\nEnsure student safety through supervision and implementation of approved interventions\nBehavior & Therapeutic Support\nImplement individualized behavior support and therapeutic strategies as directed\nDemonstrate knowledge of student IEPs, safety plans, and behavioral goals\nUtilize de-escalation and intervention techniques in accordance with training\nSupport students with social, emotional, and behavioral skill development\nData Tracking & Documentation\nCollect and record academic and behavioral data\nMaintain accurate attendance and daily documentation\nComplete incident reports and communicate key information to appropriate staff\nProvide feedback on student progress when requested\nProgram Support & Flexibility\nProvide coverage across classrooms based on daily staffing and student needs\nAdapt to changing schedules and priorities within the education department\nSupport a structured, safe, and therapeutic learning environment\nCollaborate with teachers, therapists, case coordinators, and interdisciplinary team members\nCommunicate effectively regarding student progress, needs, and concerns\nParticipate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities\nSchedule\nFull-time, Monday - Friday 7:30/8am-3:30/4pm\nSchedule aligned with school calendar\nSummer session hours\nFlexible start and end times\nComprehensive Employee Benefits Package\nAt Genesee Lake School, a MyPath Company, we are committed to supporting our employees' well-being, financial security, and professional growth.
