You’ll also help strengthen our observability, container platforms, incident response and operational practices.\nYou’ll collaborate with Platform, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Product and Test teams, giving you the opportunity to influence how technology is delivered across the organisation. This role is well suited to an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, improving developer experience and turning repetitive processes into reliable automation\nWhat you’ll be doing\nImplement and support scalable cloud solutions across AWS and GCP, aligned with established architecture and engineering standards.\nBuild and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation or equivalent Infrastructure as Code technologies.\nDevelop reusable infrastructure modules, templates and technical documentation.\nSupport cloud networking, identity and access management, platform security and governance.\nBuild, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines in partnership with Software Engineering, Test and Platform teams.\nAutomate software build, testing, deployment and release processes.\nApply engineering standards, controls and quality gates, while contributing to their continuous improvement.\nImprove DevOps practices, developer experience and self-service capabilities.\nImplement and support monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting solutions.\nContribute to reliability engineering practices, including service indicators, service objectives, error budgets, resilience testing and capacity planning.\nSupport containerised workloads and administer Docker and Kubernetes environments.\nParticipate in production incident response, root-cause analysis and service improvement activities.\nSupport vulnerability management, patching, secrets management and compliance obligations.\nWork with Cyber Security teams to embed secure-by-design principles.\nTroubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with senior engineers and other teams to resolve complex problems.\nContribute practical insights to architecture decisions, technology roadmaps and platform improvements.\nParticipate in peer reviews, knowledge sharing and team learning activities.\nIdentify and implement improvements to automation, reliability, security and delivery processes.\nWhat you bring\nYou don’t need to tick every box, but experience in the below will set you up for success.\nExperience & Skills\nAt least three years’ experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering or a related technical role.\nHands-on experience operating and supporting cloud platforms in a production environment.\nStrong practical experience with AWS.\nProficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.\nExperience with container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.\nStrong scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, Bash or a similar language.\nExperience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Harness, Jenkins, TeamCity or Bamboo.\nExperience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch or the ELK Stack.\nKnowledge of modern software development lifecycle practices and DevOps delivery methods.\nExperience implementing secure, reliable, scalable and highly available systems using established engineering patterns.\nStrong troubleshooting, incident management and root-cause analysis capabilities.\nExperience supporting production systems and participating in incident response within a high-availability environment.\nExperience working within Agile delivery frameworks.\nClear communication, stakeholder engagement and technical documentation skills.\nAbility to take ownership of assigned work while collaborating effectively across multiple teams.\nHands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.\nExperience contributing to cloud migration, platform modernisation or infrastructure improvement initiatives.\nUnderstanding of artificial intelligence capabilities and their application within modern engineering environments.\nExperience working in financial services or another regulated environment.\nRelevant certifications, such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Certified Kubernetes Administrator HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate\nOur process\nWe aim to keep the process simple and respectful of your time:\nYou’ll receive an acknowledgement after applying.\nOur Talent team will review your application and keep you updated.\nIf shortlisted, we’ll connect to learn more about you.\nInterviews may be virtual or in person.\nYou’ll receive an outcome and feedback.\nIf you need any adjustments, please let us know - we’re here to support you.\nOur commitment\nWe’re committed to building an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported to do their best work.
