You'll need to understand Finance processes as well as the risk and control environment around them.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nYou'll work directly with Finance teams and key stakeholders to: \nEstablish and embed Finance's first-line risk operating model, including ownership, governance and escalation arrangements. \nIdentify and document material Finance processes, risks, obligations and key controls. \nEstablish clear linkages between obligations, risks and controls and maintain this architecture within Protecht. \nAssess control design, ownership, frequency, operation and evidence requirements. \nTest and substantiate key controls, review supporting evidence and identify control gaps. \nDevelop and monitor remediation actions and help ensure identified issues are appropriately addressed. \nCoordinate Finance components of the Workday risk and control documentation uplift. \nProvide clear reporting on progress, control gaps, risks and outstanding actions. \nBuild the tools, guidance and capability needed for Finance teams to own their ongoing first-line risk responsibilities. \nWhat you bring\nYou don’t need to tick every box, but experience in the below will set you up for success.\nExperience & Skills\nFor this role, you'll ideally bring: \nA strong accounting or finance background, followed by experience in risk, controls, assurance or internal audit. \nHands-on experience identifying risks and designing, documenting and testing controls. \nExperience working with obligations registers and obligations management, including connecting obligations to appropriate risks and controls. \nPractical understanding of risk frameworks and the Three Lines model. \nStrong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to work directly with Finance leaders and process owners. \nExperience within financial services or another regulated environment would be highly regarded. \nExperience using Protecht is highly desirable. Experience with an equivalent risk management system will also be considered. \nRelevant accounting, risk, audit or assurance qualifications are advantageous. \nThis is a substantial 15-month fixed-term opportunity, rather than a short-term contracting assignment.
