Job Summary:

Join HUB24 as a Software Engineer and help shape the future of financial advice in Australia. In this role, you will design and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions that empower advisers and improve access to financial guidance. You’ll work within our Platform Engineering team, contributing to innovative, cross-product initiatives focused on modernisation, efficiency, and AI enablement, while collaborating with experienced engineers in an agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable applications and microservices
• Develop and optimise APIs for seamless system integrations
• Contribute to AI-driven engineering practices and innovation initiatives
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code aligned with best practices
• Improve system performance, scalability, and data access patterns
• Participate in code reviews and continuously uplift engineering standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Support system maintenance, troubleshooting, and ongoing enhancements
• Contribute to documentation, coding standards, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer
• Strong experience with Node.js (Nest.js desirable) and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript)
• Experience with relational (SQL Server) and non-relational databases (e.g. MongoDB)
• Exposure to cloud environments (GCP preferred)
• Experience building APIs, microservices, and scalable applications
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with AI tools (e.g. Copilot, Claude)
• Golang or .NET (C#) experience
• Background in financial services or fintech
