The successful candidate will be responsible for the sourcing, procurement, and timely delivery of technical equipment, vessel spare parts, technical services, and operational materials required to support our fleet and marine operations. The role is required to join our procurement team to acquire goods and services for our organization, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance with relevant regulations.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSource and procure marine equipment, spare parts, and technical services.\nReview technical specifications and procurement requirements from vessel and operational teams.\nEvaluate supplier quotations and conduct technical and commercial bid analyses.\nNegotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms with vendors.\nCoordinate the timely delivery of materials to vessels, ports, and project sites.\nDevelop and maintain relationships with suppliers, OEMs, shipyards, and service providers.\nSupport dry-docking, maintenance, and vessel repair projects through effective procurement planning.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and maritime regulations.\nEnsure that requests are treated accurately based on quotation received from vendors for material or equipment from both store, Head Office and vessels.\nReport supplier/vendor nonconformity to Management promptly in order to review business relationships\nManagement of vendor’s data base and implement vendors/suppliers’ registration process\nConducts check to ensure suppliers render services in accordance with regulations and agreement.\nKeeping all records of the Procurement department up to date (vendor’s registration, purchase orders, quotes, invoices).\nMonitor internal procurement systems and processes to ensure compliance is achieved across the organization\nOther activities as maybe deemed necessary and assigned by the Head of Department or Management.\n Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline.\nMinimum of 3-5 years' experience in procurement within the marine, shipping, offshore, or maritime sector.\nStrong knowledge of marine equipment, vessel spare parts, and procurement processes.\nExcellent negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.\nProfessional procurement certification (e.g. CIPS) will be an added advantage.\nOur ideal candidate has the following competencies:\nStrong commercial awareness.\nAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines.\nGood customer service proficiency\nAnalytical thinking\nTeam collaboration\nHigh level of integrity and attention to detail.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.\nRelationship Management skills\nStrong negotiation skills\nDocument & Records Management\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nProficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite\nUnderstanding of the entire supply chain process\nProactive disposition towards duties\nAbility to use initiative and work effectively with minimal supervision.\n The remuneration package is competitive, along with other benefits.\nApplications close on 31st October 2026.
