You will work closely with platform engineering, storage, networking, Kubernetes, and application teams to deliver reliable, high-performance infrastructure that supports thousands of workloads worldwide. The team has access to AI tools and actively uses them to accelerate automation development and improve incident response.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nAdminister and evolve our KubeVirt and Rancher Harvester hyperconverged infrastructure as part of our internal developer platform\nDesign, deploy, and operate vSphere environments across data centers, offices, global POPs, and remote client locations\nManage VM lifecycle across both traditional and Kubernetes-native virtualization platforms, including live migration, capacity planning, and cluster maintenance\nCollaborate with platform and application teams to define and implement virtualization requirements for new and existing workloads\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance and stability issues across vSphere, KubeVirt, and Harvester environments\nDesign and maintain distributed storage systems (VSAN, Longhorn) supporting VM and container workloads\nAutomate infrastructure lifecycle management using PowerShell, PowerCLI, and Kubernetes-native tooling (Terraform, GitOps/ArgoCD/Flux)\nLeverage AI tools to accelerate automation development, improve runbooks, and enhance incident response workflows\nCreate and maintain process documentation to ensure operational efficiency and availability\nPlan and execute capacity expansions across both legacy and cloud-native virtualization stacks\nParticipate in a periodic 24x7 on-call rotation. Global follow the sun strategy minimizes non-work hours interruptions.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\n5+ years of experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi administration\nFoundational understanding of Kubernetes concepts and cluster operations, or strong motivation to develop this expertise\nExperience with PowerShell and PowerCLI scripting and automation\nStrong technical, analytical, and communication skills\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately\nCRITICAL SKILLS\nKubernetes fundamentals: CRDs, operators, RBAC, networking, persistent volumes, and cluster lifecycle management\nKnowledge of VMware technologies: vCenter, vSphere/ESXi, and virtual infrastructure administration for mixed Windows and Linux guest environments\nExperience with KubeVirt or similar VM-on-Kubernetes solutions (libvirt, KVM, QEMU)\nFamiliarity with hyperconverged infrastructure platforms, particularly Rancher Harvester\nUnderstanding of distributed storage systems (Longhorn, Ceph, or similar) including replication, snapshots, and recovery\nAdvanced Kubernetes networking: CNI plugins, Multus CNI for multi-network VM configurations, network policies\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps workflows (Terraform, ArgoCD, Flux)\nADDITIONAL / HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS\nKnowledge of AWS/GCP public cloud services and hybrid infrastructure patterns\nExperience with container platforms and container runtimes (containerd, Docker)\nFamiliarity with observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana, and log aggregation platforms\nKnowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, LAN/WAN, load balancers, and firewalls\nExperience with non-vSphere hypervisors (KVM, Xen) beyond KubeVirt contexts\nAdminister and evolve our KubeVirt and Rancher Harvester hyperconverged infrastructure as part of our internal developer platform\nEDUCATION\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience\nCompany Overview:\nFactSet (NYSE:FDS| NASDAQ:FDS) helps the financial community to see more, think bigger, and work better.
