this role:\nWells Fargo is seeking a Lead Scrum Master.\n\nIn this role, you will:\nManage and develop Scaled Agile portfolios of the highest complexity\nGuide the teams to follow Agile and Scrum practices to promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint\nOptimize scrum team velocity to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance\nOversee systemic impediments to team agility and guide the teams on methods to escalate\nDeliver capabilities using agile practices while following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met\nPartner with discipline managers to convey their concerns to scrum teams risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness\nCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals\nInteract with internal customers\nReceive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements\nTrain other Scrum Masters and serve as a mentor to less experienced staff\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n5+ years of Agile Scrum Master experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education\n\nDesired Qualifications:\nAgile Scrum Master experience in large-scale Agile and Scaled Agile (SAFe) environments.\nProven experience building, coaching, and maturing high-performing, self-organizing, and highly accountable engineering teams.\nExperience supporting teams developing modern cloud-native applications, distributed systems, microservices, and enterprise Java platforms.\nExposure to AI, GenAI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, or intelligent automation initiatives within product delivery organizations.\nStrong understanding of engineering excellence practices including CI/CD, DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), observability, automation, and platform engineering.\nDemonstrated ability to drive Agile transformation, organizational change, and continuous improvement across multiple teams and portfolios.\nExperience partnering with Engineering Managers, Architects, Product Managers, and Technical Leads to improve delivery predictability, quality, and operational excellence.\nExpertise in metrics-driven delivery management, including velocity, flow efficiency, lead time, cycle time, and value delivery measurements.\nStrong facilitation, conflict resolution, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.\nSAFe Scrum Master (SSM), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Advanced Scrum Master
