As part of the QA team, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining automated testing solutions that ensure the functionality, performance, reliability, and stability of the platform.\nThis role is ideal for an automation-focused QA professional who enjoys working with Python, ROS2, test automation, CI/CD, and modern monitoring tools.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain a robust test automation framework.\nCreate comprehensive and well-structured automated test cases covering software functionality, reliability, and performance.\nDevelop automated test scripts using Python and PyTest.\nWork with ROS2 and its Python client library (rclpy) to develop and execute automated tests for ROS2-based components.\nUse Colcon and ROS2 CLI for building, testing, and troubleshooting ROS2 packages and components.\nExecute automated test suites and analyze test results to identify defects, regressions, and system issues.\nInvestigate failures and collaborate with developers and other technical stakeholders to identify root causes.\nIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster feedback.\nWork closely with DevOps engineers to ensure reliable and efficient test execution within CI/CD environments.\nCollaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, and Developers to understand requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases.\nContribute to improving test coverage, test quality, and automation efficiency.\nUse Prometheus and Grafana to support monitoring and analysis of system behavior and test environments.\nCreate and maintain documentation related to the test automation framework, test cases, test results, and testing processes.\nParticipate in continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and practices.\nRequired Skills & Experience\n3+ years of commercial software testing experience, with a strong focus on test automation.\nStrong experience with Python and PyTest.\nHands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.\nROS2 is currently used on the project, so familiarity with it may be useful.\nThe project uses rclpy; experience with it can help you get up to speed.\nColcon is used to build and test ROS2 packages.\nThe team uses ROS2 CLI tools for testing and debugging.\nExperience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.\nUnderstanding of software testing principles, including functional, integration, regression, and automated testing.\nExperience analyzing automated test results and troubleshooting test failures.\nExperience with Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and analyzing system metrics.\nGood understanding of software development and QA processes.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with developers, architects, business analysts, and DevOps engineers.\nGood English communication skills.\nNice to Have\nExperience testing distributed or robotics-based systems.\nExperience with sensor-based or real-time systems.\nKnowledge of Linux environments and command-line tools.\nExperience with Docker or containerized test environments.\nExperience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD platforms.\nExperience with performance and reliability testing.\nFamiliarity with monitoring and observability practices.\nWhat You Will Do\nYou will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team developing a complex technology platform for traffic management.\nYour primary responsibility will be to establish and maintain a reliable automated testing layer around the platform.
