We build and scale the high-performance, serverless API layer that empowers both internal consumers and partner banks to manage customers and their accounts.\nAs a pure backend engineering team, we don't build UI components. Instead, we focus entirely on engineering robust, highly available, and secure distributed services. The team owns the end-to-end lifecycle of core banking entities, including:\n- Identity & Compliance: Automated customer onboarding and complex KYC workflows.\n- Ledger & Accounts: Scalable deposit account management systems.\n- Reporting: High-throughput data processing for reporting obligations, observability, and account statement generation.\nResponsibilities:\nBuild and maintain the BaaS API services, including REST API and event-driven systems with a serverless architecture that other teams and partners depend on, making sure they're reliable and accurate.\nHelp shape how we solve problems: contribute ideas on how things should be built, weigh in on important decisions, and make sure we're building things the right way for the long term.\nKeep our CI/CD processes healthy: spot when things are slow or breaking, and take action to make the team's day-to-day smoother and faster.\nDrive architectural decisions and solution design within your domain, including writing technical solution designs, participating in threat modeling workshops, and collaborating cross-team on upstream/downstream dependencies.\nTake ownership of production reliability by participating in an On-Call rotation, leading incident investigations, identifying root causes, and driving hotfixes, as the team does with live incidents on the platform.\nWork with external partners and services we connect to, and take ownership when something on their side needs following up or resolving.\nKeep our build, testing, and release processes healthy: spot when things are slow or breaking, and take action to make the team's day-to-day smoother and faster.\nMust have: \nMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a backend engineer, with at least 2 years of NodeJs/TypeScript experience. \nHighly responsible for working with critical high-core value systems for the company.\nSolid experience with AWS Serverless services - Lambda, SQS, API Gateway, EventBridge, DynamoDB, S3.\nSolid understanding and practical application of design patterns\nHands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform & CDK).\nHands-on experience with TypeScript testing practices (unit, integration, system testing).\nExperience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka)\nFamiliarity with RESTful API design and OpenAPI specifications.\nSoft skills:\nExcellent communication skills. Ability to articulate challenges and solutions clearly.\nProven team player.
