You’ll play a key role in strengthening our KYC framework, driving operational performance, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across both markets.\nWorking closely with our KYC Leadership Team, you’ll ensure consistent execution of policies, continuous improvement of due diligence processes, and effective collaboration across departments and markets.\nIn This Role, You Will\nLead the EDD and ODD Teams: Manage and mentor specialists, ensuring strong performance, engagement, and development. \n\nEnsure Compliance & Quality: Oversee high-risk case reviews, quality checks, and escalations to maintain full compliance with regulatory and internal standards.\nOptimize Processes: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation opportunities.\nCollaborate Cross-Market: Work with other team leads and stakeholders to align on strategy, key priorities, and resource planning.\nDrive Audit & Regulatory Readiness: Ensure documentation, procedures, and controls meet audit and regulatory expectations.\nSupport Vendor Collaboration: Partner with external providers to ensure consistent quality and timely completion of cases.\nContribute to Strategic Projects: Participate in cross-functional initiatives to scale operations and enhance customer experience.\nFoster a Culture of Ownership: Promote accountability, collaboration, and innovation across the teams.\nForecasting and KPI/SLA management: Create forecasting plans to estimate the resource requirements to efficiently manage SLAs and KPIs \n\nLeadership Capabilities\nAs a Team Lead, you will demonstrate:\nStrategic Thinking: Setting clear team goals aligned with organizational objectives and anticipating future challenges. \n\nEffective Decision-Making: Analyzing complex situations to make informed, timely, and balanced decisions. \n\nChange Leadership: Guiding teams through transitions with clarity, empathy, and a solutions-driven approach. \n\nTeam Development: Coaching and mentoring individuals to build a high-performing, motivated, and accountable team. \n\nAudit & Data-Driven Leadership: Leading audits effectively, implementing improvements, and leveraging data insights to drive decisions and planning. \n\nCollaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Building strong cross-functional relationships and ensuring alignment across teams and markets. \n\nWhat You Need to Be Successful\nBackground:\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field. \n\n5+ years of Proven experience in KYC, EDD/ODD, or Financial Crime Compliance. \n\nPrevious leadership experience in a regulated financial environment and across multiple geographies and/or functions. \n\nSkills & Competencies:\nDeep understanding of KYC and EDD/ODD frameworks, ideally within EU jurisdictions. Having French and Italian market experience is an added advantage.\nExcellent leadership and people management skills with a focus on growth and performance.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.\nProficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Metabase, and Excel.\nExcellent communication in English\nProficiency in Italian/French is a plus.\nAbility to prioritize, collaborate, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.\nDemonstrated ability to manage projects, drive change, and implement process improvements.\nAbility to manage team performance through SLA and KPI management\nAt N26, you’ll be part of a forward-thinking, multicultural environment where innovation and compliance go hand in hand.
