This role is ideal for engineers or architects with strong hands-on experience in microservices, cloud, and distributed systems, who are excited to work on complex Fraud solutions that protect our customers and business.\nKey Accountabilities\nSolution Design & Architecture: Critically analyze business requirements and COM systems to design enterprise-grade solutions that balance technical excellence, security, scalability, and business value. Create comprehensive design artifacts, architectural diagrams, and technical documentation that guide implementation teams.\nTechnical Leadership & Proof of Concept: Apply systems thinking and design thinking methodologies to assess impacts across the COM ecosystem. Undertake proof-of-concept builds when required to validate architectural decisions and de-risk implementation.\nStakeholder Engagement & Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and design decisions to diverse audiences including Heads of Technology, Engineering Managers, Product Owners, Tech Leads, Testing Teams, and Technology Executives. Serve as a trusted advisor who can translate between business and technical domains.\nPlatform Advocacy & Strategic Influence: Champion platform-thinking principles by designing reusable, extensible solutions that drive consistency and efficiency across the organization. Provide strategic input to Technology Leadership on architectural direction, technical debt, and platform evolution.\nRequirements\nMust have\nExperience of 10+ years in application design and / or development roles and 15+ years in Technology generally.\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills.\nDeep understanding of microservices architecture including designing, architecting microservices in complex environments.\nUnderstanding of DevOps including the knowledge of testing automation, AWS cloud, APIs and microservices.\nExperience inJava, JavaScript frameworks, especially NodeJS or ReactJS\nStrong solution engineering skills.\nExcellent documentation and English communication skills (both verbal and written).\nSolid experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices-based system, Event-Driven Architecture.\nExperience in designing large-scale systems. \n Solid experience with Cloud (AWS/Azure) Services is highly desired.\nExperience supporting a production service in a DevOps friendlyenvironment. \nStrong understanding of Application Security. \nExperience in design tools. \nExperience in service integration. \nExperience in SDLC.\nNice to have:\nKnowledge in Banking domain \nSolid experience in Agile development environment \nAWS certification / Azure certification \nTHE BENEFITS AND PERKS\nWe appreciate and reward our colleagues who do great work every day - from excelling for our customers, to taking ownership of an issue to get it resolved.
