Here is more about what it’s like to work at NACS.\nPosition Overview\nNACS is seeking a business analyst to help steward enterprise data across CRM, membership, finance, digital, and reporting systems. This role focuses on data governance, data hygiene, documentation, and business analysis - ensuring shared data is clearly defined, consistently maintained, and structured to support the organization. It is not a data engineering role; success depends on understanding enterprise data well enough to document it, question it, and coordinate its proper use across teams and systems.\nThe role is located onsite at NACS Headquarters in Alexandria, VA.\nScope of Responsibilities:\nServe as the business analyst and enterprise steward for shared data, translating business needs into clear definitions, ownership, rules, and documentation.\nMaintain the enterprise data dictionary, logical data model, systems-of-record documentation, and key data-flow documentation across major business systems.\nIdentify and coordinate remediation of duplicate, incomplete, inconsistent, stale, or poorly structured data; establish repeatable data-hygiene practices with accountable owners.\nReview material system, field, workflow, and integration changes for impact to shared enterprise data and document requirements, mappings, ownership, and decisions.\nPartner with business teams, developers, administrators, consultants, and vendors to resolve data issues and keep governance documentation current.\nHighly organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined about documentation, follow-through, and maintaining a reliable source of truth.\nAble to turn ambiguous business requests into clear requirements, definitions, decision rules, ownership, and acceptance criteria.\nComfortable asking detailed questions, challenging inconsistent assumptions, and facilitating decisions across departments.\nCommunicates clearly with both business and technical audiences and can explain data issues without unnecessary complexity.\nTakes ownership of issues through resolution and escalates unresolved governance or ownership questions appropriately.\nRequirements:\n3+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, data governance, data quality, CRM/enterprise data administration, or a related role.\nDemonstrated experience documenting business requirements and data structures across multiple systems or functional areas.\nDemonstrated experience identifying data-quality issues and coordinating remediation with business and technical stakeholders.\nStrong written documentation skills and the ability to maintain durable operating documentation over time.\nRequired: practical understanding of relational database structure, including tables, fields, keys, relationships, normalization, and reference data.\nRequired: ability to understand and steward an enterprise data model across multiple systems, including systems of record, shared entities, ownership, and business definitions.\nExperience with data governance, data quality, data mapping, data dictionaries, metadata, master/reference data, or related enterprise data-management practices.\nWorking SQL literacy and a practical understanding of how data moves among enterprise systems through APIs, integrations, ETL/ELT, or similar mechanisms.\nHubSpot CRM experience is preferred; familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, BI/reporting environments, or association/membership systems is a plus.\nNACS Culture\nWe hugely value, invest in and are devoted to the constructive culture that we’ve built and work on every day at NACS.
