As an independent advisor, we support our clients throughout the life cycle of renewable energy projects through three lines of business: Asset Management, Technical Advisory Services, and Financial and Legal Advisory Services.

To strengthen our Technical Advisory Team in Italy, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Advisory Trainee to join our Engineering & Construction (E&C) team, based in Milan.

As part of the Engineering & Construction team, the E&C Trainee will work closely with the Project Manager and Construction team, taking care of the day-to-day management of project documentation and supporting the team in monitoring project progress and information flows during the construction phase of renewable energy projects.

This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the management of utility-scale renewable energy projects and to develop an understanding of the interaction between Clients, EPC contractors, engineering teams, and other project stakeholders.

Job Description:

Responsibilities and duties

As a member of the Engineering & Construction team, and working closely with the Project Manager, you will:

· Manage the day-to-day flow of project documentation exchanged between Clients, EPC Contractors, Engineering teams, and other project stakeholders, under the supervision of the Project Manager.

· Organize, classify, maintain, and archive project documentation, ensuring that documents are properly filed, updated, and easily accessible.

· Maintain project document registers and trackers, ensuring that document status, revisions, submissions, reviews, and approvals are accurately recorded.

· Monitor documentation flows and deadlines, identifying missing, delayed, or outstanding documents and following up with the relevant stakeholders.

· Ensure the correct and timely distribution of project documentation to the relevant internal and external stakeholders.

· Track pending actions, deliverables, and documentation requests and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.

· Support the Project Manager in monitoring project progress and key milestones, helping identify potential delays, deviations, or issues requiring attention.

· Assist in identifying documentation gaps or issues that may affect project execution, promptly flagging them to the Project Manager.

· Prepare and maintain project status trackers, action lists, meeting minutes, and other project management documentation.

· Participate in project and construction meetings, when required, and follow up on agreed actions and related documentation.

· Collaborate with Clients, EPC contractors, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to ensure an efficient and timely exchange of information.

· Occasionally participate in site visits to projects under construction, gaining practical exposure to construction activities and project execution.

· Provide additional technical and organizational support to the Engineering & Construction team as required.

· Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a structured and detail-oriented approach.

· Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities while meeting deadlines.

· Proactive, reliable, and willing to take responsibility for assigned tasks.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and international environment.

· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

· Knowledge of AutoCAD, PVsyst, and/or MS Project will be considered a plus.

· Basic knowledge of photovoltaic and/or wind technologies is highly desirable.

· Full-day availability is required.

· Willingness to occasionally travel to construction sites.

· Italian and English proficiency is required. English at C1 level, TOEIC 800+, or equivalent is preferred.

· Spanish will be considered a plus.

Desired requirements

· Basic technical knowledge of solar PV, BESS, and wind projects.

· Familiarity with the main phases of renewable energy project development and construction.

· Basic understanding of EPC contracts, technical documentation, and construction processes will be considered a plus.

· Previous academic, internship, or project experience in renewable energy, engineering, construction, or project management will be considered a plus.
