With the strength of 4000 people, our growing family of companies now addresses the entire life cycle of power generation and other industrial plants.\nSummaryThe Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects across a portfolio including associated vendor communications, project reviews, cost/schedule tracking, planning, scheduling of resources, and all other implementation activities. Be the main contact in the Engineered Performance Team and have the responsibility to execute a portfolio of projects to ensure that the project scope and objectives are accomplished within the agreed-upon budget cost while adhering to project management best practices.\nPrimary Duties\nPartner with multiple teams across our company to prioritize major power projects by understanding scope, requirements, level of effort, and state of our pipeline, and clarifying trade-offs when changes are made to that plan.\n\nBuild and manage project schedules in Microsoft Project or similar.\n\nProvide adequate schedule updates per NAES client/internal agreements.\n\nSet realistic timelines and consistently meet the benchmarks within it.\n\nReadjust and communicate the schedule as necessary to ensure timely delivery of the final project.\n\nManage the financial plan and consistently evaluate the project budget.\n\nManage day to day interaction with the Engineered Performance Team, Vendors and Business Process Owners, build relationships and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.\n\nIdentify and respond to potential issues throughout the life of the project to minimize potential negative impacts.\n\nPerform proactive Risk Management - Asses the project/solution risk, communicate and administer mitigation plans.\n\nReview and manage Statement of Work, Change Requests, and follow internal approval business processes.\n\nProject status reporting with stakeholders including Actions and Decisions.\n\nEstablish and maintain the project communication plan providing updates to the project team as well as the internal and external stakeholders.\n\nManage the quality of deliverables.\n\nMentor more junior project managers supporting them with small to medium sized projects.\n\nWorking RelationshipsWorks with the Engineered Performance team and reports up to the Fleet Services or Engineered Performance Management. Does not have any direct reports.\nCompensation The initial compensation is $137,500 to $158,100\nJob Qualifications:\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.\n\nYears of Experience:\nEight years of experience as a PM/Operations focused on working with major power generation projects.\n\nExperience project managing large power generation projects both new construction and/or major maintenance.\n\nLicenses/Certification: PM certification (PMP)\n\nSoftware/Equipment Knowledge: \nMicrosoft Project or Primavera\n\nPower Generation EPC Projects or Power Generation Major Maintenance Projects (preferred)\n\nOther Considerations: \nAble to handle stressful deadlines and situations\n\nResponsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized\n\nSuperior customer service skills\n\nAble to manage multiple tasks simultaneously\n\nStrong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups.\n\nAble to demonstrate planning, organizing, and implementing skills that allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.\n\nPhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsPhysical Requirements-The employee may sit at a desk and use a computer workstation, to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear.\nWorking Conditions- Work regular business hours but may have to work evenings and weekends to meet deadline depending on client needs and requests.
