The successful candidate will lead a small technical team, oversee design, testing and installation of chassis electrical architectures, ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards, and coordinate with engineering, production and commissioning teams to deliver reliable vehicle electrical systems on time and to budget.\nKey Responsibilities\nTeam Leadership & Coordination\nLead, mentor and allocate work to a team of electrical technicians and engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.\n\nPlan and prioritise team tasks to meet project milestones and production schedules.\n\nConduct regular team briefings, performance reviews and skills development activities.\n\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams including chassis design, software, integration and quality to ensure seamless delivery of electrical systems.\n\nDesign, Integration & Documentation\nOversee development and review of chassis electrical schematics, wiring harness layouts, connector and component selection.\n\nEnsure electrical designs meet functional requirements, vehicle interfaces and regulatory standards.\n\nMaintain and control technical documentation including wiring diagrams, bill of materials, change records and test procedures.\n\nSupport configuration control and ECO processes for electrical components and assemblies.\n\nTesting, Validation & Commissioning\nDevelop and supervise testing programmes for harnesses, controllers, sensors and power distribution systems.\n\nLead fault diagnosis and root cause investigations, implement corrective actions and lessons learned.\n\nCoordinate on-vehicle commissioning activities, validate electrical interfaces and performance under operational conditions.\n\nEnsure test results are recorded accurately and reported to engineering and project stakeholders.\n\nQuality, Safety & Compliance\nEnsure all electrical work complies with company quality standards, industry best practice and applicable safety regulations.\n\nPromote safe work practices and ensure the team follows electrical safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.\n\nSupport supplier quality management for outsourced harness and component suppliers, including inspections and audits.\n\nProcurement & Supplier Liaison\nSupport procurement activities by specifying electrical components, reviewing supplier quotations and lead times.\n\nLiaise with vendors to resolve technical issues, track deliveries and manage spare parts inventory for chassis electrical systems.\n\nQualifications\nDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics or related discipline.\n\nValid UAE driving licence preferred.\n\nFamiliarity with automotive electrical systems, wiring harness design, CAN/LIN networks and vehicle power distribution.\n\nProficient with technical documentation tools; experience with CAD for electrical schematics and wiring (e.g. EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical) is an advantage.\n\nExperience\n5+ years’ experience in automotive or heavy vehicle electrical systems, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.\n\nProven experience in wiring harness design, installation, testing and fault finding in chassis applications.\n\nExperience working with suppliers and manufacturing/assembly teams in a production environment.\n\nPrior exposure to vehicle commissioning and integration activities on site or at customer facilities is beneficial.\n\nSkills & Competencies\nTechnical Skills\nStrong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills; experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters and vehicle diagnostic tools.\n\nGood understanding of vehicle communications (CAN, LIN), grounding strategies and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) considerations.\n\nAbility to produce and interpret wiring diagrams, harness layouts and connector pin-outs.\n\nCompetent in Microsoft Office for reporting and basic data analysis.\n\nBehavioural Competencies\nEffective verbal and written communication skills; professional when dealing with internal teams, suppliers and clients.\n\nStrong leadership and people management skills with a practical, hands-on approach.\n\nProactive problem-solver who escalates issues appropriately and follows through to resolution.\n\nAttention to detail with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.\n\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nOn-time completion of electrical design and harness production milestones.\n\nReduction in electrical faults and post-delivery issues.\n\nTimeliness and accuracy of test reports and defect resolution.\n\nTeam productivity, training completion and health & safety compliance.\n\nTo apply, please submit your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and availability.
