We design, supply, supervise the installation of, and maintain fire-fighting, fire alarm and life safety systems for clients across the industrial, oil & gas, commercial and infrastructure sectors.\nWe are looking for an Estimator / Tender Engineer to accurately price our projects and prepare complete, compliant and competitive tender submissions, ensuring they are ready and submitted on time.\nThe Role\nReview tender documents, technical specifications and drawings in detail, and raise requests for information (RFIs) with clients and consultants to clarify any requirements.\nParticipate in site surveys alongside the sales team and carry out quantity take-offs from project drawings to support accurate pricing.\nPrepare bills of quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates, showing supply and installation rates separately and drawing on the product catalogue and rates database.\nPrepare requests for quotation (RFQs) for suppliers and the registered subcontractor panel, then compare and evaluate the offers received.\nCompile complete tender packages, including the priced BOQ, technical compliance statement, details of deviations, datasheets and certificates.\nMonitor tender deadlines, bonds and submission requirements, and keep the tender register and document control records accurate and up to date.\nPrice variations, annual maintenance contract (AMC) work and counter sales for stock items and spare parts.\nMaintain and update the price and rates database, and review estimates by comparing them with actual project costs.\nJob Requirements\nB.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, providing an academic foundation relevant to the role.\n[3-5] years' experience in estimation or tendering for fire-fighting systems, including systems such as sprinklers, hydrants, fire pumps, foam or gas suppression.\nGood working knowledge of NFPA standards and the components used in fire protection systems.\nStrong quantity take-off and cost-build-up skills, with the ability to account for labour, materials, subcontract work, freight and margins.\nAdvanced Excel skills and the ability to read AutoCAD drawings;
