Naflet hotel is a top-notch four-star hotel, originally located in Adama, and currently expanded its hospitality operation to Addis Ababa, Arada Park. The Hotel aspires to be internationally franchising chain hotel by building renowned brand through high level of service excellence.

To attain this mission, the hotel is looking for passionate professional employees to the following positions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares the menu, selects special and general dishes.
• Decides the theme of the menu and also chooses the décor, cutlery, crockery, accessories, upholstery, etc.
• Prepare and analyze recipes to assign prices to menu items based on food, labor, and other costs.
• Directly engages himself in the process of food preparation.
• He/she has to ensure that all the dishes are prepared on time and hygienic conditions and are maintained.
• He/she has to ensure the quality of the dish before it is served.
• He/she should have in-depth knowledge about the dish, not just the recipe but also the history and tradition of the dish.
• He/she must manage his employees and maintain coordination among their work.
• Prepare and plan duty roster and vacation plan to his department employees.
• He/she must make sure that all the supplies and stocks are maintained in the pantry.
• He/she should establish and maintain contacts with vendors.
• Check the quality and quantity of products before receiving.
• Prepare training plan, design training materials and training methodology, deliver training to his staff and handover the training plan to the hotel HR officer.
• Demonstrate new cooking methodologies and equipment to staff.
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to the hygiene, safety and security standards.

Requirements

Required qualification

• Diploma or above from recognized university or college in culinary art or in hotel management.
• Minimum of ten years’ experience as a chef or Senior sauce chef in 4 star or above hotels

Computer skills

• Command of computer applications & working knowledge of any PMS or similar software.

Industry knowledge

• Thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry and business
