Staff Engineer, Salesforce Marketing Cloud

REQUIREMENT:

• Total experience: 5.5+ years
• Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) development and implementation.
• Good experience in writing complex SQL queries, Data Extensions, and audience segmentation.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud modules including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Contact Builder, and Mobile Studio.
• Hands-on experience in developing responsive and dynamic email templates using HTML, CSS, AMPscript, and Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS).
• Experience in creating, deploying, and managing email campaigns, customer journeys, triggered communications, and lifecycle campaigns.
• Good understanding of personalization, audience segmentation, and campaign automation within SFMC.
• Experience in integrating Salesforce Marketing Cloud using APIs and supporting external system integrations.
• Knowledge of email testing, deliverability best practices, IP/domain reputation management, and campaign performance monitoring.
• Experience in troubleshooting campaign, automation, and integration issues within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Familiarity with Advertising Studio and audience creation is an added advantage.
• Experience working independently in geographically distributed Agile teams with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Salesforce Mobile SDK will be an added advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, configure, and deploy email campaigns, customer journeys, and automations using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Build responsive, dynamic, and personalized email templates using HTML, CSS, AMPscript, and SSJS.
• Configure and manage Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Contact Builder, and Mobile Studio.
• Develop SQL queries, create Data Extensions, perform audience segmentation, and implement personalization strategies.
• Build and support triggered communications, customer lifecycle campaigns, and marketing automation workflows.
• Integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud with external applications using APIs and support end-to-end data synchronization.
• Monitor email deliverability, IP/domain reputation, campaign performance, and recommend optimization strategies.
• Troubleshoot campaign execution, automation failures, data issues, and integration-related problems.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, administrators, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable SFMC solutions.
• Work as a module lead and act as the primary point of contact (POC) for one or more markets or business units.
• Prepare technical documentation, maintain system processes, develop proof of concepts (POCs), and recommend improvements based on campaign analytics and industry best practices.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
