# Program Manager, Codes & Standards

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is seeking an experienced building industry professional to help advocate for building codes and standards that protect public health and safety while remaining cost-effective and preserving housing affordability. The primary focus of the position is representing NAHB and its members in the International Code Council’s code development process and on standards development committees for key topics including electrical, fire safety, accessibility, egress, and/or structural. The successful candidate will work with NAHB’s Construction, Codes & Standards Committee and other NAHB committees and councils to address the impact of building codes and standards on residential construction and provide input on NAHB policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Preparing technical proposals in support of NAHB policy resolutions. Delivering testimony on behalf of the association. Maintaining positive working relationships with code & standards development organizations, allied trade associations, building official organizations, and other industry stakeholders.
