These positions support environmental compliance programs, APCD operations, wastewater and waste management, and facility-wide ISO 14001 Environmental Management System initiatives in a high-volume manufacturing environment.\nEnvironmental Engineers will perform environmental compliance calculations and reporting, support permitting and regulatory interfaces, conduct inspections, and provide engineering support for environmental control systems that protect workers, the public, and the environment.\nResponsibilities\nThe following reflects management’s definition of key functions for this job and reserves the right to assign additional duties as necessary to meet operational requirements:\nSupport environmental compliance tracking, recordkeeping, and reporting for air, water, and waste programs, including state and federal reports, inventories, and dashboards\n\nAssist in preparation of key regulatory deliverables such as TCEQ Annual Waste Summary, air emissions inventories, wastewater self-monitoring reports, Tier II, TRI, and pollution prevention reports\n\nPerform environmental inspections (CWAA, SAA, SPCC, APCDs, stormwater, visible emissions) in accordance with BEP procedures and regulatory requirements and document findings and corrective actions\n\nSupport operation and maintenance of APCDs by monitoring operating parameters, assisting with troubleshooting and optimization, and ensuring permit conditions and monitoring requirements are met\n\nAssist in development, revision, and maintenance of environmental plans and procedures, including SPCC, waste management plans, waste analysis plans, pollution prevention plans, and waste handling procedures\n\nSupport the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System by helping maintain EMS documentation, preparing for internal and external audits, and supporting management review processes\n\nPerform data analysis and develop tracking tools for solvent use, waste generation, APCD uptime, and environmental performance metrics\n\nSupport environmental and transportation-related training development and delivery to production and support personnel; maintain training records\n\nCoordinate with external laboratories for sample analysis (wastewater, waste characterization) and perform basic screening in the onsite laboratory as needed\n\nParticipate in incident and spill response reporting, including data collection for root cause analysis and corrective action implementation\n\nPerform other environmental engineering and compliance duties as assigned in support of the EESS PWS\n\nQualifications\nSkills/Qualifications\nWorking knowledge of environmental regulations and requirements for air emissions, hazardous waste and Texas industrial solid waste, wastewater, and chemical storage (EPA, TCEQ, and local requirements)\n\nFamiliarity with environmental permitting and reporting processes, including calculations and data management\n\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals for environmental systems and APCDs\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data quality\n\nEffective communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to summarize technical information for non-technical audiences\n\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety personnel\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with spreadsheets, databases, and data visualization tools\n\nEducation and Experience Required\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related engineering discipline from an accredited institution\n\nMinimum of 3 years of relevant environmental engineering or environmental compliance experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting\n\nClearance\nYou must maintain an active Public Trust/Confidential security clearance for continued employment.\nMust be a U.S. citizen\n\nLocation\nWork is performed on Government site at the BEP Western Currency Facility in Fort Worth, Texas, with work primarily during normal operating hours\n\nOccasional off-shift support may be required for inspections, maintenance activities, or environmental events\n\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to work in both office and industrial settings, including walking long distances on the production floor and climbing stairs or ladders for inspections\n\nAbility to lift and
