Dixon was founded in 1936 and is a leading North American supplier of Art and Education products, serving School and Retail Markets. Dixon is headquartered in Appleton, Wisconsin. We are also quickly accelerating our global growth, with the combined strength from our parent company, FILA.\nEssential Functions:\nAssist in the coordination and reconciliation of inventory or location discrepancies associated with the cycle count process, as well as performing data entry. \nEnsure inventory accuracy, identify and document any discrepancies related to auditing loads. \nInvestigates FGDS items, analyzes the exceptions, and updates inventory. \nAdministers and expedites daily requests for FGDS reallocations, quality control checks, and material disposition by making the appropriate inventory adjustments. \nAssist in performing physical inventories. \nCoordinates FGDS cycle counts. Documents discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy. \nFields inventory related questions and provides support information to customer service, invoicing, warehousing/shipping, manufacturing and quality assurance. \nMaintains historical records of all FGDS transactions, including cycle counts, audits performed, discrepancies and resolutions. \nReviews inventory levels to determine optimal levels through ABCD analysis. \nContinuous evaluate of aged, stagnant or slow moving inventory. \nCoordinate the delivery of products from outside warehouse locations to the primary shipping facility needed to fill orders. \nContact carriers to schedule shipment pick-ups as needed. \nTrace shipments as requested. \nResource to address and resolve customer and other department inquires and problems. \nDevelop and maintain metrics that demonstrate continuous improvement of inventory controls. \nOther duties as assigned. Other Responsibilities: \nDaily contact with Customer Service, Accounting, Warehouse/Distribution personnel, Quality Assurance personnel, and Manufacturing. \nThis position has a shared responsibility for major assets in the form of finished goods inventories. A considerable impact can be made on distribution costs and customer satisfaction through the initiation and maintenance of accurate and timely transactions relating to these assets. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: \nGood math skills to assure accuracy of the control systems. \nBasic knowledge of Word and Excel. \nAcute attention to detail. \nAbility to learn several software systems used to reconcile inventory. \nSAP knowledge a plus. \nInvestigative abilities to analyze problems and identify alternative solutions to resolve unique FGDS inventory problems. \nGather, evaluate and interpret information. \nEffectively organize, plan and execute. \nEnsure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations. Education and Experience \nPreferred two year degree or minimum of a high school diploma with emphasis on business/supply chain is desired. \nA year or two of exposure to Dixon Manufacturing/Distribution would be a plus.
