This role is intended for a developing designer who can complete routine assignments with\n\n*This position is a full time, non-rotational position located at NANA Worley headquarters in Anchorage, Alaska*\n*This position is eligible for the NANA Worley employee referral program, available only to current NANA Worley employees*\nResponsibilities\nInterprets and applies codes, procedures, standards and specifications to accurately and efficiently produce designs which conform to applicable codes and specifications.\nAccurately develops material takeoffs and estimates.\nProficiently operates various AutoCAD systems. Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform design tasks.\nConsistently demonstrates example skills in structuring assigned activities, creativity, teamwork, handling a client’s changing needs, communications, operational efficiencies, decision making, and analyzing and solving problems.\nInspects equipment for conformance with design specifications. Analyzes product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs that can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.\nStudies engineering and technical publications to keep abreast of technical changes and developments in industry.\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\nOther duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.\nQualifications\nAssociate degree in Engineering Technology from an accredited institution or equivalent years of design experience. \nMinimum three (3) years experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design in the oil & gas industry.\nLanguage Ability:\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.\nMath Ability:\nMath skills sufficient to: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent. Draw and interpret bar graphs.\nReasoning Ability:\nSolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
