Remote work option may be considered on a case by case basis*\n *This position is eligible for the NANA Worley employee referral program, available only to current NANA Worley employees*\nResponsibilities\nResearches and analyzes data such as client design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.\nWorks with clients to develop a project’s scope of work, estimates, and/or schedules.\nReviews and approves project drawings, standards and specifications.\nDevelops major equipment and material selection, and construction specifications.\nUses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.\nEnsures that all assigned activities and operations comply with applicable codes, regulations and laws.\nProvides support during fabrication and installation phases to ensure engineering documents are followed.\nCoordinates activities with other project disciplines involved in fabrication, operation, application, and installation or repair of various materials, products or systems.\nProvides technical direction, support and information to other engineers, designers and drafters.\nConsistently demonstrates professional skills in structuring assigned activities, creativity, teamwork, communications, operational efficiencies, handling of a client’s changing needs, decision making, and analyzing and solving problems.\nOther duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\nQualifications\nBachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited institution required.\nMust have Alaska PE license.\nMinimum five (5) years engineering experience in the oil and gas industry required.\nMinimum two (2) years off-pad pipeline engineering experience.\nEngineering experience for projects on the North Slope - Alaska required.\nProficiency in Bentley AutoPIPE or other piping stress analysis software preferred.\nOther Experience:\nResponsible engineering experience including arctic pipeline, process piping, and/or HVAC system work. Prior experience should have included familiarity with ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8 piping codes and material specifications, and with ASHRAE standards.\nMust be able to work independently, and with project team.\nLanguage Skills:\nAbility to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management and client.\nMathematical Skills:\nComprehend and apply principles of calculus, modern algebra and statistical theory. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations and proofs and theorems. Ability to apply mathematical operations to work projects.\nReasoning Ability:\nApply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with non-verbal symbols (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in the most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.\nComputer Skills:\nPossess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, word processing software; Excel spreadsheet software; Outlook e-mail software; and any other discipline-specific design or analysis software, as required.\nCertificates and Licenses:\nListed on the Level Classification page, if applicable.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nListed on the Level Classification page, if applicable.\nLanguage Ability:\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
