Corporate sustainability - both environmental and social - is at the forefront of our decision making.\nAbout the Role\nServe as the lead electrical engineer responsible for the design, development, and integration of electronics for Nanopath’s diagnostic platform\nOwn system-level electrical architecture, including PCB design, power management, signal integrity, and integration with embedded software and mechanical subsystems\nDesign and develop circuits supporting motion control, fluid actuation, thermal management, and optical detection systems\nLead bring-up, debugging, and validation of prototypes and production hardware\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, systems, assay) to define requirements and ensure seamless system integration\nDevelop and maintain documentation in compliance with ISO 13485\nTechnical Qualifications\nStrong experience in analog and digital circuit design, including mixed-signal systems\nStrong experience with embedded systems and microcontroller-based designs\nProficiency in PCB design tools and schematic capture/layout best practices\nBackground in designing systems with precise thermal control, motor control, fluidic actuation, or optical detection\nExperience developing hardware for medical devices regulated to ISO 13485 and IEC 61010\nExperience supporting hardware verification, validation, and troubleshooting through all development phases\nExposure to manufacturing processes, including PCB fabrication, assembly, and test\nGeneral Qualifications\nB.S. or M.S. electrical engineering or related technical discipline with at least 4 years of industry experience\nAbility to work on-site full-time in Cambridge, MA\nExcellent communication and presentation skills, highly organized with demonstrated curiosity, scientific rigor and creative problem-solving\nProactive self-starter with eagerness to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment\nPassion for technology translation and willingness to shape Nanopath’s future\nDon’t meet every single requirement?
